A very impressive list. One has to say those born in the 1940s and beyond are generally holding up pretty well, so far. Does anyone know if Leonard Preston (who was the main star of one of the more memorable Tales of the Unexpected Episodes) but doesn't appear to be on your list is still alive? He appears to be born in 1954 but very little public information available perhaps due to this https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/4425580

This has happened to me a few times. Sometimes it clears if I switch from WiFi to data. -

Anders Celsius died on this day 280 years ago, aged 42. - Celsius' family was full of scientists- his uncle Olof was a botanist, his paternal grandfather Magnus was a mathematician, and his maternal grandfather Anders Spole was an astronomer. His father Nils was also a professor of astronomy at Uppsala University, which he would attend- and also became an astronomy professor there in 1730. - Celsius had several feats in the realm of astronomy: he was the first person to link auroras with changes in the Earth's magnetic field (based on observations within a compass), and he participated in an expedition that proved the world was an ellipsoid and not a perfect sphere. - Celsius was most famous for his temperature scale, centigrade, which he proposed in 1742. It is now the dominant temperature scale in the world (three countries use Fahrenheit instead), and Celsius' name has been used interchangeably with 'centigrade'. - Celsius' young death was caused by a bout of tuberculosis.

Some people here don't wish to reveal details of their life outwith the forum. We all start off with blank profiles, and if you choose to waive your anonymity, that's on you. I'm not such an enigma; a few members would hear about my tragic bidet accident on social media and update you all. -

Oh my God you are a bloody angel!! Just tried my pc and mobile with wifi on and I can access everything 1000% fine! Thank you SO MUCH I could kiss you!!! I know you rightly cannot give me details but it sounds like there must be an ex deathlister in my neighbourhood for that to happen(unless it's based on number/codes rather than location?) But regardless thanks again I'm really grateful virtual kiss kiss kiss kiss and friendly virtual hug! Oh typed my reply only after reading first line as was eager to act so I see it was code related rather than location. Much appreciated. -

I removed the ban on the IP that I think was the root of your issue. It was one where an asterisk was used after the first five digits so that would've banned a wide range of IPs. Try again. -
Just saw Shirley Maclaine trending on twitter, briefly panicked oh please no and was relieved to find out it was because of her 90th birthday ...

I am typing this on my WiFi turned off mobile. I am sat in front of a PC and when I trued to access website on PC it says Banned you do not have permission to view this site. Yet on my mobiles admittedly minus WiFi, it allows access. Would that confirm your IP near or former is banned or contradict it? I'm using the same computer in same house I've used for at least 7 or 8 years without issue? - Yesterday

No fucking idea. But it wasn't me . We've disagreed about a bunch - but that's silly. Oh, and I have zero admin rights, and if I did? You mate, would not be even close to where I'd apply them. (luv ya). -

The only possible other explanation I can think of is on the computer another household member has put safety settings on so now rude pictures are automatically blurred until you click allow. This was done only days ago Would safety settings block accidentally this forum because of its sensitive nature? I hasten to add that there are no safety blocking on my mobile and the you are banned kept on coming up on mobile too .Perhaps I'm clutching at straws Additional information added below Also I was in a city centre pub 9 miles at least from home and it still said blocked. briefly unblocked on train journey home but then blocked again. So far the only way to access website is to switch off WiFi but that might just be luck. If it was IP caused wouldn't being 9 miles away from home override that? Sorry I'm a luddite and genuinely stumped/puzzled. -

It'll be a fine admin that blocks my splendiforous input. And yes, I probably made that word up as I went along. Incidentally DI likely has a point here. -

Maybe although I've only had the one account since 2014. So I haven't been banned before. Surreal to think someone in my neighbourhood is also on the forum!! I've knocked my phone WiFi off temporarily and have now been able to post but haven't tried the household computer yet. I think I might need to exchange email addresses with one or two of the small number of posters on here so I can contact them to contact admin if this becomes an ongoing issue. If someone in close geographical proximity to me or similar IP is blocked is there anyway around stopping this becoming an habitual problem? Many thanks -

Five minutes ago access was denied again and said you are blocked Then I fiddled with my mobile phone and it was OK again, perhaps temporarily. I am absolutely baffled. I thought IF I was banned I'd be told why. Mightily confused. -

There was no ban on you. Possible that your IP overlapped with one that we banned in the past? -

I'm no admin. And the points on which we disagree are manifest. But that's exactly why both of us should be here. Waiting on my own ban on those grounds. (I still hate your spawn of eejits thread, so there's that :)) -
