It's set in 1861.What do these woke retards expect ? An ensemble of non binary black blind lesbians in wheelchairs singing about the abolition of the police?

All this idiotic censorship, such as it is, that’s happened off the back of BLM’s momentum, does absolutely nothing to combat racism and in fact detracts from the importance and objective of the movement and the real concern behind it. Rather than pettily and cynically removing old sitcoms and making BLM look like some kind of shitty political correctness exercise, how about instead focusing on talking about how to make people’s lives better?

A fire fighter is polishing a fire engine outside the station when he notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the side and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle. The little girl is wearing a fire fighter’s helmet and has the wagon tied to a dog and a cat. The fire fighter walks over to take a closer look. “That sure is a nice fire truck,” the fire fighter says with admiration. “Thanks,” the girl says. The fire fighter looks a little closer and notices the girl has tied one wagon leash to the dog’s collar and one to the cat’s testicles. “Little Partner,” the fire fighter says, “I don’t want to tell you how to run your fire truck, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat’s collar, I think you could go a lot faster.” The little girl pauses for a moment to think, looks at the wagon, at the dog and the cat, then shyly looks up into the fireman’s eyes and says…….. “You’re probably right………but then I wouldn’t have a fucking siren, would I?!

Thanks all. I've been really lucky this time! Referred to the local mental health team, and as I'm in the system I've started new treatment called DBT. In fact in the most positive way, I've been using the sick period to study like crazy so the result is that my Doc at mental health team is seriously impressed with not only my actions but my progression. In other good news- it's made a massive link between my use of alcohol and my depression, so much so, I've not touched a drop since 31st May and whilst I'm not promising a totally ban for life I can honestly say, this is the longest I've not touched a drop for over 30 years. The big test will be the return to work in 10 days, but I have a few ideas for that. So all in all, positive etc.

So, Toast's public spiritedness and my credit card have combined to make the Dogs Trust (no apostrophe before the grammar Nazis descend!) richer to the tune of £10, plus gift aid benefits. The only remaining question being whether this thread will now die more quickly than the twenty low hanging talents who couldn't match Willie Thorne's winning performance.

So, as mentioned occasionally before, Ulitzer's UK charts project sparked me to explore the 50s and beyond of the US Billboard charts and now I've listened to nearly everything that marked the Billboard charts between 1955 and 1959. Maybe a dozen songs were not on YouTube. While I won't be doing anything nearly as comprehensive as Ulitzer's project I thought I'd compile a list of living performers from the era. Not every last living name is here; ie there are some groups with multiple living members that I only list the frontman for. If they charted as part of a band, the band is included in parentheses regardless of whether or not the artist would become better known under a different band name (the living Four Seasons and Simon & Garfunkel are prime examples). 1922 - Ray Anthony 1924 - Jane Morgan 1925 - Bill Hayes 1926 - Tony Bennett 1927 - Dick Hyman, Ed Ames (The Ames Brothers), Harry Belafonte, Teddie Chinery (The Beverley Sisters), Sunny Gale, Mindy Carson, Carol Buschmann (The Chordettes) 1928 - Tommy DeVito (The Four Lovers), Betty Madigan 1929 - Jane Powell, Leroy Van Dyke, April Stevens, Betty Johnson, Margie Needham (The Chordettes), Mitchell Torok 1930 - Peggy King, Joni James, Chris Barber, Chic Hetti (The Playmates) 1931 - Phyllis McGuire (The McGuire Sisters), Jaye P. I can see the conversation going something like: Georg: No, you hang up. Bene: No, you hang up. Georg: I'll give you the last rites. Bene: No, I'll give you the last rites. Ad infinitum until 2021.
