But we're voting on the music, not the artist. Piece Of Me is a good catchy song, and definitely shouldn't be going out ahead of some of the others in this list. That said, it's not good enough for me to be upvoting it 57 Jeff Buckley — Hallelujah 44 Michael Jackson — Man In The Mirror 30 Kings Of Leon — Use Somebody +2 30 La Roux — In For The Kill 29 Adele — Chasing Pavements +2 29 Jay-Z ft. Nope, I’d also say that, but only in the same way that I’d say an eye infection is better than an ear infection.

There was a photo of George Burns smoking a cigar in my elementary school library in the 90s; so that dude was iconic to me as a child due to the bizarreness of it. Like why would this compel a 9 year old in 1994 to read? I think in general people know Kirk Douglas by name and face -- or even just "Michael Douglas's dad", but not Eva Marie Saint or Glynis Johns. A lot of people said "who?" regarding the latter but knew instantly when I said the mom in Mary Poppins. I assume same situation with Gloria Stuart.

They can't really compete with their Chinese counterparts. Of republics... Alexander Dzasokhov, "President of North Ossetia-Alania" 1998-2005 is still alive at 90. He should be the oldest. After him, possibly Aslan Dzharimov, born 1936, head of Adyghe 1992-2006. There's a few living born in 1937, including Dzharimov's successor Hazret Sovmen and Tatarstan's iron ruler Mintimer Shaimiev (who was widowed five years ago, but seems to be doing great for his age), and then a larger amount of ones in their early 80s. Of oblasts... I think allegedly corrupt former governor of Oryol Yegor Stroyev is the oldest governor of an Oblast now that Balakshin is dead, close second Eduard Rossel of Sverdlovsk whose father was killed by NKVD during Stalin's Great Purge.

I don't have the sufficient provenance to argue with your account of the music industry in the US. What I did notice, however, was the overwhelming presence of the actions of her team and of the industry in general, which make your attacks on her personally appear nearly as unjust as the press who could quite easily have driven her to her death with their incessant capricious (and often misogynistic) attacks on her. Oppressive strategy in the music industry isn't exactly exclusive to Britney's team, as I'm sure you'll accept. In any case, BuffaloPhil said it; this is not a game based on whether you like someone or not; we're here to judge the music itself. Morrissey is an iron clad cunt but you won't see me downvoting any Smiths numbers as a result of that.

It'll never happen in a million years. Unless open war was declared on the UK before January (which I cannot see happening) then there has to be a general election. And even if we were at war, it would require an Act of Parliament to suspend the election for another year (which would need renewing every 12 months) and there is no way, unless in the direst of circumstances, that Parliament would agree to that. It needs 26 Tory MPs to vote with the opposition to defeat the government, and there's way more than that standing down in the next 6 months who would kibosh a delay, not to mention those rare creatures "Tories with a moral compass" who would see it as the shameless power grab it would be. It's not going to happen. Sooner or later, Sunak the Squatter will have to face the music and give us a say on his party's decade-and-a-half in power.

Some other German voice actors born before 1930 who are still alive following Eckart Dux's death are: Rolf Schimpf (14 November 1924), not a real voice actor but he did some dubbing work in the 80s, his health issues are well-known, I think and he's lived in a retirement home for almost 14 years now Joachim Konrad (15 November 1924), had over hundred roles in "Star Trek", "Twillight Zone", "Poirot" etc., there are rumours that he might died in 2017 but no source to confirm it Rolf Marnitz (6 December 1925), dubbed Harry Dean Stanton in "The Godfather II" and had some other minor roles in "Batman", "Star Wars" and "The Omen" but already retired in the early 90s, he continued to do audio books until 2014, he possibly died off-radar Detlev Witte (1 January 1926), his last role was Jason Robards in "Magnolia" in 2000 which he did fabulously and won an award for, an Wikipedia user edited his page in 2021 and claimed that he died on 8 August 2003 and corrected his birthdate to "9 May" but he didn't gave a source so that edit was reversed, on the other hand an supposed grandchild of his edited his page in 2017 to also correct his birth date to "9 May" and didn't wrote anything about him being passed away, he also said that he still has his German Dubbing Award and wants to add a picture of it to the article in future, which he never did Osman Ragheb (11 May 1926), half-Egyptian and half-Austrian, who grew up in the British Mandate of Palestine, and later spoke Tony Shalhoub, Jon Voight, Kreacher in the Harry Potter Franchise and Peter Vaughan in Game of Thrones, he also had a small acting role in Schindler's List and was a dialect coach who worked with Brad Pitt and Meryl Streep in his career, he's retired nowadays, is almost deaf and has some memory problems, even though he still writes poems for his wife, which he can recite by memory, he gave an radio interview last year and he's an very friendly and intelligent guy Thomas Reiner (29 October 1926), probably most well-known for dubbing Professor Farnsworth but he didn't had that role in the Futurama revival last year, seems to be still active irregulary and only complained about sight problems in an interview from 2016, his last job seems to have been in 2021 Richard Baier (27 November 1926), not a classical voice actor but he's the radio presenter who first announced the 20 July 1944 plot to the public during World War II and later delivered the last propaganda report of the "Greater German Broadcast", where he famously said "The Fuhrer is dead, long live the Empire", he later was a political prisoner in East Germany for his work with American Sector Radio broadcasts, because of his historical significance I highly doubt that he died without an report Renate Grosser (18 September 1927), she dubbed the creepy old women in "Blair Witch Project", who described the Blair Witch, as a hairy half-human and half-animal beast, aside from that she seemed to have done a lot of cheesy crime shows in the 70s and 80s Friedrich Georg Beckhaus (11 December 1927), voice of Harry Dean Stanton, Robert Duvall and Klaus Kinski (who was too lazy to dub himself, which annoyed the dub director, which is why they gave him a thick Saxon accent in some of his movies), he finally retired last year Jürgen Thormann (12 February 1928), lives in an retirement home now but still voiced Michael Caine last year to everyone's surprise Karl-Ulrich Meves (13 November 1928), voiced Grover in the German version of the Sesame street among other lesser known roles, recently came out of retirement to appear in an audio play Eva-Maria Lahl (1929), not much is known about her, couldn't even find a picture of her on the web but she voices Agnes Skinner in "The Simpsons" and is still active May these legends continue to live very long

There are lots of words to describe Linehan. A fair few of which are anatomical, so let's pick the most appropriate one, the one that we all have in common, whether you're a man, a woman, an enby or anything in between, whether you're trans, not trans or just have gammon-infuriating pronouns. Linehan is an arsehole. Thread complete.

Even rarer is the group that came before this - a concept where the Mouseketeers were in a band. Pilot was shot but Walt couldn't get it picked up. I only know of 1 person, since passed, who was involved. No idea how many were involved or who was beyond that one person. I'd expect the Mouseketeers to get qualifying obits though. Too famous in US culture not to get something from the AP or Reuters, or maybe the BBC. (Ironically, to run this around to the topic of this thread more directly, he told me a hilarious story about him trying to woohoo Annette in 1962 or so during the filming of a Wonderful World of Disney episode they appeared in together. To to that all off, apparently Annette lived next to another friend of mine, a lawyer out of Southern California, in the years before she died.)

Annette Funicello - 63 years old, has had MS since 1987. Starred in the "Beach Movies" of the '60s, and a few other flicks along the way. She had brain surgery in 1999 to slow down tremors to her brain from the MS. Probably a bit too American, but it's worth a shot.
