2 pointsThank you all! And thanks a lot Cpt. for hosting! I guess Kirsty Smitten was the winning pick. Otherwise, the team didn't exactly feel like a winning one in the end, with the nr. 1,7 and 8 not dying. Hell, even Steve McMichael is STILL alive. But I guess I have to be glad I didn't put him or Black Bart Harris higher. Carter was a shared no. 1 by almost everybody anyway. A couple of lucky survivors worked in my favour, MariNisia had James Whale at 1st (Book had him at 6th, Perhaps at 14th)., so... thank you, too, James Whale?

2 pointsI was introduced to Emeli Sande and Read All About It Part 3 when she performed on the Olympics. As someone who is queer and going through the process of trying to get diagnosed for Autism. This song spoke to me. Especially these lyrics as i'm good at writing my feelings but struggle with voicing my thoughts etc. " You've got the words to change a nation But you're biting your tongue You've spent a life time stuck in silence Afraid you'll say something wrong If no one ever hears it how we gonna learn your song? "

1 pointHe is getting huge coverage. Every item on KCNA is now about him, and he got the first page of Rodong Sinmun while KJU is on the second. He got WaPo, AP and even BBC obits. Most of the North Korea we know stems from his sick fantasies. The official obituary mentions he had been suffering from multiple organ failure for more than two years, which seems kind of "fucking finally dead" even on their part. He was hospitalised in April 2022, when COVID hit the country. Around that period Yang Hyong-sop and Hyon Chol-hae died, he likely was stuffed on life support for the remaining two years. Kim Yong-nam and Choe Yong-rim are now the remaining elders. Don't know if they are on Kim's funeral committee.
-
1 pointHere's Kim at the funeral. Googling his Korean name there are other images from the funeral online. Edit: That same image is on one of the news reports mentioned above too, never mind. Propaganda boss of the regime for decades. Good riddance. NK's "old guard" has been dropping like flies in the last years. From the 12 names mentioned by drol in the Kim Jong-un thread almost exactly three years ago only Kim Yong-nam (96), Choe Yong-rim (93) and Pak Ui-chun (88 or 91) are alive. Kim "Tape Recorder" Yong-nam seems the most likely to go next considering how he looked extremely frail and ill in his appearances last year.
-
1 pointKim Ki-nam, former Vice-President of the Workers' Party of Korea and North Korean official, reportedly dead aged 94 (Wiki has him aged 89 though):

1 pointIrish one strikes me as being one of those really weird ones that either ends up doing really well or coming absolutely nowhere
-
1 pointGlad Cat is back and alive. Sadly the internet doesn't tell someone's health problems (well unless one wants to). Some people just disappear with no chance of ever coming back. Because they can't.
