Hoping that it's Kissinger. I saw him in a television program last night and realized how dreadful looking his nose was with those hideous eyeglasses. For such a fashion disaster he must be the 3rd death of the year.

Interesting tidbit regarding Koch: His tombstone, which he planned out a few years back, has the final words of slain journalist Daniel Pearl on it. Koch's death occurred on the 11th anniversary of Pearl's murder.

Have you submitted a DDP team? That is where you can display your uncanny prescience about this years deaths and those who write the list might take notice of your suggestions in future. No I haven't gotten that far yet - just signed on this week or last week - don't remember much but there are a lot of empty bottles of wine laying around. So the DDP is a list of people I personally think are going to suck their last breath of air? I'll work on it. You have until the end of the year to get your entry in for 2014!

As reported by Spade Cooley in the Mollie Sugden et al thread, though spelt as 'Bryers'. He did spell 'Richard' correctly though.

Thank you all very, very much for your kind wishes about my dad and yes ,Yongle Emperor you can call him Andy, I have no problem with that. Andy is doing amazingly well physically, dementia is a problem, as always, but we have gained a lot of experience in how to deal with that in the last 10 months. My dad is charming the nurses and his fellow patients, most of whom are enjoying the ramblings of his memories than the day to day drudge of being on a hospital ward. Mum apologised to one of the other 'inmates' about how he would be kept awake by Dad, the gentleman replied 'not at all, your husband is keeping me entertained all night, I don't want to go home'. Despite being senile he can still tell a good story. My post was not done to elicit sympathy for myself or my family, I, like my dad, ramble a bit but I am very aware there are far more people out there who deserve our sympathy. I simply wanted to draw attention to the fact that Facebook, despite its many, many faults can actually be used in a positive way.

Are we sure this story is true? The article quotes a friend of Kyle. Surely this can't be possible, not without a lie detector test.
