1 pointWhy put a bra on yer dug toastie? Well dug <gettit?> my way to main road yesterday, 50-60 yards of above wellie height snow. 2 hours toil. Tractor with plough just did loop road I'm on, 10 seconds to do same distance.. At least it meant I got to restock with booze food last night, though road not officially open, car width path through higher than car drifts. And so today.... Awoke to pipes froze, must be outside somewhere, yet its nowhere near as cold as it was around a month ago. And door wouldn't open. Its a one door house, and no way of getting out windows on ground floor. No tools really bar a couple of screwdrivers but I found a crowbar in the cupboard where the boiler is , hour or so later and I'm FREEEE .

1 pointDonald Trump praises China's decision to scrap limit on presidency term US President Donald Trump praises his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping over China's decision to eliminate the two-term presidency limit, suggesting the US could "give that a shot someday". ""He's now president for life, president for life. And he's great," Mr Trump said, according to audio of excerpts of Trump's remarks at a closed-door fundraiser in Florida aired by CNN. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot someday," Mr Trump said to cheers and applause from supporters." http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-04/donald-trump-praises-chinas-decision-to-scrap-presidency-limit/9507336 UPDATE: The ABC now think Trump may have been joking, in which case he successfully trolled them.

1 pointTheresa May should be considered I reckon. She seems to be under a lot of stress for a supposedly "strong and stable" Prime Minister. She should take up bike riding

1 pointNot sure where to put this, but I'm assuming this thread is actually read by the site owners/admins. If it isn't well it can talk to the void. I just want to take a moment to appreciate and thank the forum staff for this site's incredibly liberal moderation policy having just been banned from another website for calling a weather presenter a cunt. I'm assuming I can use that word as it's not directed and anyone on this forum, which I'd thought I could with the other forum. Utter madness to be honest. What is it with internet moderators and their power complex? This forum seems to have it right, as long as your not a complete and utter wanker you're tolerated, wouldn't the entire internet be so much less full of utter insanity than this forum if that was the case? I've probably tested your limits more than the most in the past, and I apologise for that, I'll be more thoughtful and considerate in my posting going forward. I just want to thank you for the common sense moderation policy that let's the community speak for them. I actually deserved every ban I've had on here, and understand why you banned me for it, something that other forums leave me dismayed about? People really are uptight snowflakes on parts of the internet. So here's a huge thanks to our great forum admins and moderators and a heap of praise for what increasingly seems like the only corner of the internet where you can still say what you bloody well think....

1 point"The Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (now The Latin Recording Academy) was formed by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (now The Recording Academy) in 1997. It was founded by Michael Greene and Producers & Songwriters Rudy Pérez & Mauricio Abaroa. Rudy Pérez was the Grammy Florida chapter's first President of the Board. The concept of a separate Grammy Awards for Latin music began in 1989.[5] According to organizers, the Latin Grammy Awards was established as the Latin music universe was deemed too large to fit on the Grammy Awards."[6] This feels like one of those either/or situations. The Latin Grammys are an off-shoot of the original Grammys, awarded by a body that is itself an off-shoot of the original body. In Biblio's defence, if people had questions then people should have asked, as they did in many other categories (including whether lifetime achievement Grammys count). To avoid unnecessary disagreement, as it only affects Yorkshire Banker, would he be amenable to altering his pick, by either choosing an alternative or by utilising his sub if one was provided? It is almost impossible to foresee a situation where this eventuality does not play out, unless there are 3 extremely swift deaths or Mr Jose Jose Jose Jose (copyright msc) makes a remarkable recovery, so best to deal with it quickly. (Also, for the record, Miss Black America is a completely separate pageant to Miss America and they are in no way affiliated. )

1 pointIf anything, your aforementioned words were far from stiff enough: the man was an arsehole. Religion is often - not always, but certainly very often - inherently discriminatory. It's all well and good to have one's own beliefs but to preach to others that their own ways, beliefs, mannerisms and traits are wrong in the eyes of their 'god', that's where it becomes inflammatory and a largely sore topic. Reverend Billy would've found you an unacceptable human being, and me, and many others, for varying reasons. And that's because he was an appalling bigot, fixated only on his religion and paying no heed to the divisive nature and general distress and truculence it caused. Happily, he's now in the process of rotting.

1 pointWell done to the lions. From the BBC: A suspected big cat poacher has been eaten by lions near the Kruger National Park in South Africa, police say. The animals left little behind, but some body parts were found over the weekend at a game park near Hoedspruit. "It seems the victim was poaching in the game park when he was attacked and killed by lions," Limpopo police spokesman Moatshe Ngoepe told AFP. "They ate his body, nearly all of it, and just left his head and some remains." Police have not yet established the victim's identity. A loaded hunting rifle and ammunition were found next to the body, South African website Eyewitness News reports.

1 pointHmmm. I tend to think people who say they're going to kill themselves are not usually the ones who actually do it.
