I want one - I figure it will mow my yard and my dachshund will get some exercise trying to kill it.

Any and all deaths should be posted in the annual thread, regardless of what Sir Creep says as well as in any specifically appropriate thread.

One of the great Grosics tales (for he is one of those great football figures): in 1955-6, despite being frequently under house arrest on espionage charges, he still managed to successfully hide rebels and their weapons in his own house. While undergoing surveillance. And he got away with it.

Was there a thread started some time last year highlighting the longevity of some people's suggestions and naming and shaming who made the original suggestion? I can't find it if there was but Norman Tebbit, 19/08/2005 and Guest toffee would make the list.

Chas and Dave are booked for the Ramblin' Man Fair this summer - tbh I was planning on avoiding them and heading for the prog stage during their set...but that post has caused a rethink

Unless I'm wrong, there is already a thread for Harry Reid here: Perhaps this calls for a merge, if I'm correct in this?

Remember letters? You know, the things you got through letterboxes with stamps, not franks, on? Yes, stamps...still used for cards, especially at Christmas. Anyway, getting to the point, there's to be a new set of stamps issued with some of the cast of Dad's Army with their catchphrases: https://www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/973078/dads-army-platoon-new-posting-stamp-royal-bbc-tv Talking of which, form watchers may wish to huckle themselves down to The Bell Inn, Thetford, Norfolk on July 21, when Frank Williams (Rev Timothy Farthing) will unveil a blue plaque there. It was the hotel used by the cast and crew while filming on location. http://www.chortle.co.uk/other-news/2018/06/12/40217/dads_army_gets_a_blue_plaque

Here he is back in good old 1978, presenting BBC's Young Scientists of the Year (a programme I have no memory of at all!). Look out for former DP favourite, Heinz Wolff.

He actually didn't write that song. The Sherman Brothers were called in to write new songs for The Jungle Book after Walt Disney wasn't satisfied with how his original planned version of The Jungle Book was going. In that version, the songs were written by Terry Gilkyson. And when the Sherman Brothers joined the project, they got rid of all the Gilkyson songs from the film except for The Bare Necessities which everybody loved.

Just watched the footage for Top of the Box.Not a chance guy looks and sounds worse than Jim Bowen did in the documentary. In fact, he looks as bad as Reg Cox did in the first episode of EastEnders.

The old man’s going on holiday for a week tonight, which for me means a week of going to bed at 8pm, eating Quavers for tea and picking my nose whenever I like, woohoo!

Heartening to see utter fucking horrors like her and that talentless fuckface Martine McCutcheon are still able to ponce about living the high life while still bankrupt cunt faces. It must be their amazing personalities. Martine is mostly appearing at the Princes Theatre Hunstanton where she will warble to a bunch of old folk or summat.

That feels as if the end is missing.... The floozy in the jacuzzi is preferable to the hoor against the door. Or summat.

I had five hundred Kit Kats in my fridge and my mate had one in his. I pressured him into giving his to a homeless person. That's basically how celebrity charity appeals work.
