I just realized that there’s only 5 US presidents living right now: Jimmy Carter - 94 years of age Bill Clinton - 72 years of age George W Bush - 72 years of age Barack Obama - 57 years of age Vladimir Putin - 66 years of age

Worse, it's just you. Well to be fair, @Deathray has the same problem, but for different reasons.

Hello Everyone, after Phantom of the Midway's year of professional high-quality hosting it is now me who is going to handle this massive deadpool that we all love just BECAUSE it is so big. Here is where you can dump all the rare names you had no use for and then pat yourself on the back for finding them. The general rules: Send me 50 main team names by pm or just post them in this thread, if you want, from right now until Dec 31st 2018, 23:59 GMT - preferably alphabetically. You can choose one joker with double points - and you can also submit up to five substitutes in case one of your 50 dies before the end of the submission window. You may also choose new subs before the game starts if they die. The scoring rule is slightly changed to make room for the people of the 21st century. Instead of the last two digits of the year of birth (i.e. 1934 = 34 points), we will now have the scoring rule [year of birth] - 1900 = score. So someone born in 2000 will get 100 points in case of death, instead of the "00" under the old rule. Every other year of birth sees no difference. You may submit the following people: living, not having set a precise date of death (by execution, dignitas, or whatever), at least 18 years old on January 1st 2019, and being somewhat notable. "Somewhat notable" means: they should at least be notable for something else aside from being terminally ill. "Something else" being something that has an effect on society. Terminally ill activists are okay if they've done at least something generally beneficial, a campaign, a book, a court case, or fundraising that might affect other people. If they're only in the news because of their tragedy or because they need our sympathy I will not accept them. So no "cancer mums with cancer kids", no "terminally ill fans", no "ordinary person in a coma because of a car crash". This also counts for brothers/sisters/children of notable people - unless they are so notable that every relative is also notable by default, like the House of Windsor, or maybe the Bush family. Unfortunately, it is me who will decide if the person is famous enough. Previous BBC coverage in whatever form will convince me. Substitution phase: On the 1st of July 2019 GMT you may switch 5 old people for 5 new ones for whom all the above rules also apply. When is a hit a hit: If the person permanently dies in 2019 (GMT!) and their death gets noticed in written form by qualifying media outlets within 2019 or the first seven days of 2020. The qualifying media outlets, i.e. QO rules are as such: Everything accepted by the Derby Dead Pool 2019 plus The New York Times. Your host: I will also submit a team and will do so two posts below, quickly after this post. I will hide the names with "XXXXX XXXXX" and reveal them on January 1st. I will not make use of the mid-year substitution. I will not read your submission emails until January 1st (I think you can check that) to prevent the impression that I might take a name from your posts for other deadpools. This also means that I might discuss borderline acceptable picks with you on January 1st or 2nd. We will have to talk then. If you're unavailable I might simply replace an unqualifying name with one of your substitutions. If you post your team right in this thread, you save me some work but also give away names. If you pm me, please make sure that I know what the mail is about in the header "Death By Numbers", "Team submission" or something like that. If you have other questions, you can also ask in this thread! Entrants: 1. Your host 2. markb4 3. theoldlady 4. The mad hatter 5. Yorkshire Banker 6. Bibliogryphon 7. YoungWillz 8. The Unknown Man 9. Actress Judy McBurney , maybe best known for playing Pixie Mason on Prisoner Cell Block H has died aged 70. Quite sad, it was a ridiculous character but she always seemed so full of life. https://startsat60.com/news/celebrity/prisoner-star-judy-mcburney-dies-aged-70-following-cancer-battle

Statistically impressive that all of the four Presidents from Ford to Bush 1 have lived to be at least 93. I believe that Carter is the first President since Truman to outlive his immediate two successors. If you discount assassinations, I believe he’s the first since Taft. That’s ironic as Taft wasn’t exactly the healthiest looking President. Must be a chance of Obama joining this group too.

As pool hosts all over the forum grapple with late-year deaths they have a particular effect in this pool of course; The 300pter club includes Devin Lima, Jean Barker, Stan Lee and George H.W Bush among it's ranks resulting in big shifts this year. @msc No longer has just share the most hits record with @Grim Up North, edging him out by 1 with an astonishing 16 hits, instills hope that mega-bonus for full team might get an outing one year. @Sir Creep also steals my record for highest scoring hit with a WildCard on Bush netting him a staggering 666 points - however not enough to take him in the lead. It seems Prophet really does have God on his side, maintaining his lead by a whisker. But as we all know one death can blow this to smithereens in December: Prophet 2020pts [10/25 189 (P. Highly likely I went to the Dover Castle with the lads for a couple of pints and then onto Streetlife for the rest of the night. Both venues are still operating 28 years later. It's 40 years since I first went into the Dover Castle.

What do you mean by ANZAC list? Do you mean Aussie and New Zealand celebs in general or actual soldiers? This isn't the US - we don't give a rat's arse about soldiers. I'd be hard pressed to think of more than about five - Peter Cosgrove, one or two who are now politicians, and Victoria Cross winner/alleged war criminal Ben Roberts-Smith. EDIT: It turns out that, in breaking news, more war crimes allegations are emerging against the tosser: https://www.smh.com.au/national/police-investigate-ben-roberts-smith-over-alleged-war-crimes-20181126-p50ihb.html As the Germans say, „Soldaten sind Mörder“.
