The Lone Ranger, the masked Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his loyal Native American side-kick, Tonto, had been surrounded by 100 blood-thirsty Sioux. "My God, they're way too many. After all these years, I'm scared! I'm out of ammo and all we've got is your knife. Tonto, you're my old friend. We've been through hard times before. That's why we completely trust each other. We'd never let each other down. So what on earth are we going to do this time?" Tonto smiled briefly, drew his scalping knife and said: "What do you mean by we, paleface?"

Time for former DeathList entry Oprah Winfrey to have her own thread, especially since she's recently had heavy pneumonia: https://www.buzzfeed.com/benhenry/oprah-winfrey-pneumonia I couldn't believe there wasn't a thread for her yet. (I also can't believe I just linked to Buzzfeed.)

Her parents are very bad people allowing their child to be used as a political pawn. Oh and it gets better! Why would you have a acting credit for appearing on the news? She's an actress and a bad one at that. https://m.imdb.com/name/nm10361418/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 The world has turned into the WWE. Except it's still real to some people. The people at the top must be laughing their ass off at how gullible and stupid people are.

Canning was 119 days so Johnson needs to be there on - I think - 21 Dec to beat him. Canning was a controversial selection who was immediately deserted by senior figures in his party (Duke of Wellington and Robert Peel) both refusing to serve under him and sticking to their High Tory principles. Wellington - btw - had argued long and hard in favour of retaining slavery, so he was a true right winger. Canning was undone by his inability to work with a very divided parliament, his own unwillingness to push for reform in parliament and - in the end - his health. Reet, better go and - like - do some work, eh?

Al Alvarez - Wiki still thinks him a going concern as of this post but The Guardian has him obitted. Utter legend and his book The Writer's Voice says in a few pages what lesser talents can't seem to nail in 75,000 words or more https://www.theguardian.com/books/2019/sep/23/al-alvarez-obituary

Woo hoo! An opposition leader had to be forced to undergo a psychiatric evaluation because of vague laws. That doesn't sound fascist at all.
