It’s definitely fair to say he isn’t blame-free. He’s seen what’s happened to countries that got it before us. Scientists or not, he should’ve taken the precautions; this outbreak has happened to other countries a fair amount of time before it really got going here. Though maybe we should only shout at Johnson for once again paying too much attention to the views of the real PM, Dominic Cummings, before getting a dose of reality from, well, reality.

A farmer stopped by the local mechanics shop to have his truck fixed. They couldn't do it while he waited, so he said he didn't live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and a gallon of paint. He then stopped at the feed store and picked up a couple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem - how to carry his purchases home. While he was scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told him she was lost. She asked, 'Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane ?' The farmer said, 'Well, as a matter of fact, my farm is very close to that house. I would walk you there but I can't carry this lot.' The old lady suggested, 'Why don't you put the can of paint in the bucket. Carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken under each arm and carry the goose in your other hand?' 'Why thank you very much,' he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home. On the way he says, 'Let's take my short cut and go down this alley. We'll be there in no time". The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, 'I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won't hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and have your way with me?' The farmer said, 'Holy smokes lady! I'm carrying a bucket, a gallon of paint, two chickens, and a goose. How in the world could I possibly hold you up against the wall and do that?' The old lady replied, 'Set the goose down, cover him with the bucket, put the paint on top of the bucket, and I'll hold the chickens'.

My concern too. It feels like the obvious solution is to lock up the vulnerable for 6 weeks and take food to their doors etc (military). Then actively infect the remaining population in week 1 - we all get it and survive and then in 6 weeks we release the vulnerable and hey presto everything is okay again. None of us go to hospital we just suffer at home during the illness. Sounds harsh but it would massively reduce the ultimate death count and the length of the shut down and would give certainty that no one has at the moment.

of course we still get it...but UK society has "flattened the curve" . So instead of 20000 deaths in UK...we might only get say 18000....cos there are a few more ICU beds and ventilators available for those of us that catch it in say late April. When EVERYONE gets it at the same time....its bad news.

The one unanswered question is what happens to us when were all let back into the world? We've built no immunity up. So surely we just get this shit then anyway?

Good luck with that. No flour to be seen in the supermarkets whenever I've been in. Got some from the little village shop though. No yeast, but could try making unleavened stuff like chapattis or naan.

I don't think it's fair to blame Boris. He was being advised by the scientists.

Good Morning! Today is Sunday, March 22nd. There are now 13,069 deaths worldwide, not counting the deaths China is hiding. The numbers from the end of the day yesterday in Norway are: still only 7 deaths , 2167 cases 1,000 New cases in one day! 12th Day of working from home for me.

This could do with being binned. I cannot be the only one getting royally fucked off with Corona Virus this and Corona Virus that. Three fucking years of Brexit bollocks and now we are going to have a year of Corona Virus bollocks. Lets have some threads that are NOT about it. Please.

Sincerely I don't care if economy will die after this. I just want to stop hearing ambulances at 3.00 a.m. every damn night and reading dozens of obituaries of people in their 30-40s who die of this (see here, here, here and I could go on, dammit). I'm tired. Everyone is tired here. You need to be an utter dork who should be crucified not to be.
