That's unfair. Rants at you are due to extreme low-quality posting (i. e. always reporting deaths after they are alreday reported, mainly in the same thread), so it is your actions that get despised, not you. Improve your posting quality and that won't happen anymore. For an example, @Joey Russ was a complete twat when he came here 4 years ago. Really, every post of him seemed written by a retarded monkey. In a few months he became arguably one of the best posters (and deadpoolers) on this site, and he still is. Sometimes I even wonder if they are the same person. Try to follow the example.

This has the whiff of "legal" tax/debt/pension fund deficit avoidance about it.

Ganging up on you? I pointed out Alex Jones had the same amusing theory about Michelle Obama and you snapped mate. Think everyone else was having a laugh. But there we are. Let’s not dwell on the past. We disagree. Which leads me neatly to Steve, and his original point of ‘abuse’. I don’t think I’ve seen any genuine vitriolic abuse on here. Certainly, no purposeful, targeted discrimination or bullying. Quips are taken as abuse, wrongly. It’s best not to take to heart what the faceless on a largely light-hearted site (if you can believe that of DL!) might occasionally come out with. At the risk of another Dr Z joining in and proving this wrong, I think we’re all largely good people. Even smug dickholes like me. There’s no institutional hatred and grudge-holding here. If there’s something you can’t *not* take seriously, fire away, but if it’s every little post you feel like this about then you probably need to stop taking this so seriously or consider whether the site is for you. But if there was genuine discrimination aimed directly at someone, I’m sure we wouldn’t stand for it. It’s good we’re all different. Even you, @Steve. Makes the place more interesting.

Here is one from the category "I did not know, that he was still alive": Claus Biederstaedt, actor in several movies of the post WWII-era has now died at the age of 92. He mostly played young guys with even younger girlfriends and later, he was seen as middle-aged man, who dated young girls. I saw him last time in a comedy play years ago, when he was playing a frail grampa married to a young girl. https://www.ndr.de/kultur/film/Schauspieler-Claus-Biederstaedt-gestorben,biederstaedt104.html

Maradona has signed a new contract as a head coach. Fair played to him for keeping busyish but I think it will be the death of him. Pele to follow soon after given his medical problems. Gazza to miraculously stay alive until his sixties. Those northerners are tough as old boots. "Maradona signs new contract to continue serving as Gimnasia's head coach until Dec. 31, 2021. Argentine football legend Diego Maradona has renewed his deal with top-tier Superliga club Gimnasia for a year."

Diversity of opinion is fine. There's quite a few on here who are on the right of the political spectrum and have no issues. Racism, sexism, bigotry and generally coming off like an alt-right idiot is frowned upon.

In the most unbiased explanation I can offer: You've made a few dumb posts, ngl. Everyone here does their research, you make a mistake, just say 'my bad' and do your research next time and 9/10 all is forgiven. And tbh I agree that there are some smug dickholes in this group that like to start beef for the smallest reason which usually ends up escalated way out of proportion - especially if you break the liberal safe space here with an opposing opinion - diversity of opinion is frowned upon here by some of the heavier posters here. At the same time I've met decent people on here too, you have simply gotta have the patience for them to get to understand you better and that you're not just a troll or whathaveyou... You wanna see a change to Deathlist then you've gotta make it yourself. At the end of the day, this forum isnt just for smug assholes but its for everyone who likes deadpooling.

There is nobody on here who could reasonably be described as nasty. Annoying, irritating, forthright yes but nobody on here is 'a very nasty' person. Get over yourself.

Quite right. There is no doubt there are some very nasty people on here. There's hardly a day goes by I don't wonder if I should waste any more time on here but I don't want to give them the satisfaction of scaring me off. Please stick around to piss them off !

I appreciate your enthusiasm for a good old chat but given Anubis last posted and according to his profile last visited in 2012, I'm not sure a response will be forthcoming from him.

I actually think that's revisionist thinking machinated by market conservatives to equate leftism with fascism. Both right-wing and left-wing prefer a strong state. I have yet to see a significant free-market defender who does not invest heavily into the military or for whom market conservatism is not simply freedom from regulation so that they can fill their own pockets.

Eddie Kasko, who played with the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds before spending 29 years in the Boston Red Sox organization, going from player to minor league manager to the Sox's field boss from 1970 to 1973, has died. He was 88. https://nesn.com/2020/06/ex-boston-red-sox-manager-executive-eddie-kasko-dies-at-age-88/

Well, first off I'll rip that suggestion that I'm the "font of knowledge," put it into an email and send it to my wife. Crosby's an enigma (in a really good way) his skills are that same rarity George Harrison had (i.e. he has soul a mile wide but his quality control when left alone is not that great). So, the very best of his work (title track of Deja Vu or Wooden Ships) are stronger for the touches brought by others in the groups. Therefore, you're struggling to find great albums entirely by Crosby. That said, If I Could Only Remember my Name is - arguably - that animal. Though, ironically, it's a great "solo" album because the first thing he did was invite all his mates round then just jam. So, if you want an album that totally captures the stoned vibe of Laurel Canyon folk-rock hippies If I Could Only Remember my Name is unsurpassed because most of his contemporaries felt the urge to do mundane and boring things on their own albums like - maybe - write proper songs. The soaraway scat singing of Tree With no Leaves (Song With no Words), sublime introspection of Traction in the Rain or the vocal exercises turned into a sublime nugget of I'd Swear There was Somebody Here (which does regular work as the closing track on a cult radio show I could name) are all moments of sublime honesty. After which there's damn near two decades of a drugged haze in which he goes through the motions competently. Tracks in the Dust from his second solo album was the first real suggestion he could pull it back. There's a serious attempt to go out on an artistic high that's driven the album a year performance of late and he's as good as most of his generation (if we accept Neil Young as a cut above and Dylan's recent outing as a stunning return to artistry that Crosby will likely never touch). There's also a handful of the very best music of his generation scattered across The Byrds, CSN and CSNY. So history will likely be kind to him when the real reason we discuss him here finally arrives.

Oh you don't need to be into football to take the piss. One of Mrs msc's favourite gags about my team is: "Thieves broke into the Partick Thistle trophy room last night and got away with a carpet."

I think that the committee should seriously consider Diego Maradona for the deathlist 2021... he is been in the list before but now he is really in bad shape, ...his formers colleague are worried about him and he can barely speak!!

Bob Seely, Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight, performed very well on Jeremy Vine earlier when discussing the UK’s (failed) track and trace app. Seely: We have built a world-leading app. Vine: What about the German app? Seely: I don’t know about other countries.
