Harsh. Whatever he did/didn’t do, both were intelligent women who made the decision to use heroin. He can’t be held responsible for their choices.

2020: covid, covid everywhere, more covid, not seeing family, worst work year ever due to covid, government helping everyone else then sending out emails and texts about their financial support that wasn't available to gig economy folk on a weekly basis, covid, UK government being a shower of feckless cunts at every opportunity, covid. Also coronavirus. Old pal dying of covid within 2 days of getting it, aged 40, by far biggest shock of year. On a celeb note, Shad Gaspard. Poor sod. Don't know the Google thing but my annual video is focusing on Diana Rigg and Ian Holm too.

Juno/Umbrella Academy/Trailer Park Boys star Elliot Page comes out as transgender Not a death, but big enough news to be posted here. Will be interesting to see how this plays out in Hollywood considering he's a near A-list actor.

Format of Entry EDIT: An email has been sent out to all the email addresses on the DDP Database with an Excel sheet attached which is the preferred method of entry - all information required for entry of a team can be submitted on that form. For anyone reading this who wants to enter this year and is happy to do so by excel but has not received the email with the excel form attached if you PM me with your email address I will send you the form. FOR ANYONE WHO WOULD PREFER NOT TO USE THE EXCEL FORM THEN IF THE ADVICE BELOW COULD BE FOLLOWED THAT WOYLD BE APPRECIATED. I need to turn all your entries into this format (names used for example purposes) Previous Team Name (if name has changed) If Theme Team What is Theme? Team Name: XYZ are going to Die in Next 12 Months Prince Philip John Smith Trevor Jones Ian Roberts Andrew Brown Colin Black Tony Collins Shirley Gray Anne Thrush Deborah Peters Sean Meakin David Higginson Lisa Purves Barbara Hall Simone Yates Frank Baker Barry Crowther Boris Decker Gary Hills Bethany Richardson Steven Morrison Leroy Hanover Ranjit Singh Points to Note No numbers - every single number I have to delete. No email links - every single link added beside a name I need to delete (see next post though). No extra information about who the picks are - every single additional piece of information added I need to delete.(see next post though). Don't put a heading in for Reserves - just leave a one line gap - again I just need to delete this. No Joker in brackets - the joker is the pick at the top of your list - why - because if you write joker I have to delete. Only then do I have the names in the format when the database will recognise them. If everyone submitted like that I reckon I would save about 4 hours (30 seconds an entry) and maybe double that. A small difference for each of you making a huge difference to me.

This is this time of the year again when you start looking back to what you've achieved this year and what you went through. For some years now, I have this tradition of writing a "zeitgeist" of my year. But what is a Zeitgeist ? It's a German term which means "spirit of the time" and is used especially by Google to refer to its "Year in a search" movie which recaps the year in a 3 min video since 2010. In this tradition, I have done the same thing since a few years now, summarizing my own personal success of the year, my favorite events, historical events which marked the year, historical deaths etc… I propose to you this thread so that everyone is able to look back at 2020 and express his opinion of the year. So : what were the personal and historical events that marked your year ? what have you done so far through the year ? What did you go through ? Who were the deaths that shocked you the most ? And another question : who, according to you, are the personalities who will go in the "In Memoriam" section of Google's Year In Search 2020 ? In my opinion, I think this will be RBG, Maradona, Connery, Kobe and Kirk Douglas. edit : hope my English isn't too bad, correct me if I made any mistake, it would help me to improve

Shit. That didn't take 3 minutes so with the spare 2 mins and 59 seconds I could do a song and dance routine if you like? PS your English is fine Lafaucheuse. C'est en fait beaucoup mieux que mon français

I have now checked every celebrity in our DDP database if they are still alive or not. As you can see on the previous page, I am left with the impression that almost every remotely notable person that died in 2020, has been picked by us before in some year.

Now I do agree with providing sanitary wear for those that can’t afford it. It’s an absolute fucking disgrace that these are taxed (in England at least) as ‘luxury’ items. There is nothing luxurious about teenage girls having to stuff their underwear with the inner cardboard tube of a toilet roll because they can’t afford sanitary towels. I’d much rather see my tax spent on Tampax than Jacob Rees-Mogg’s latest expenses claim, and I’m desperately trying to think of a ‘stuck up cunts’ joke here.

Spade did say 2021 would be his drive for five. So... a sign of things to come in the DDP next year? We’ll have to wait and see, but barring any evidence in the next 48 hours that shows an even earlier death, congrats on your win.

Death of Patterson leaves just two people who were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during the 1990s. Ivan Putski and Johnny Rodz. Both turning 80 next year!

Your English is great Lafaucheuse, better than that of quite a few English people! Year in a picture:

What about people who are only famous for being "ill" in a late 80s hip-hop sense?

Oh, more than a few, but I was thinking of the awful one that goes "simply having wonderful Christmas time". Ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ad nauseam.

What a hideously tragic story. But no, they wouldn't count as they seemed to be known only for being ill.

For the "misspelled names" entry, the numerous ways Pope Benedict is typed was my biggest problem.

Rush Limbaugh is not hosting his radio program today. Usually he announces he will be absent. That wasn’t the case for today, but there’s a guest host. It can’t be long, and thus buttresses my claim that Rush should be celeb #1 DP should he make the starting line. SC
