Ah, Dinsdale Landen was a fine actor that didn't really get his TV dues (though he was never off stage) - he was equally fun in Thriller. Bit mad to think it'll be 17 years since he died in the next week or so. Anne Reid off Corrie/Last Tango in Halifax fame a good one too, who is still acting today of course. She was one of the best things in Years and Years and Our Zoo just in the last few years alone.

Cat! Where the devil have you been! Great to see you are still alive and kicking, and there is every reason to hope you will be remaining so. It must be a relief that you are getting this seen to in these difficult times. Stay with us in every way. Good luck and lots of love.

Well, shit, that's terrible, very sorry to hear that Cat. If thats your current treatment, then there's clearly still a fight to go there, so genuine best wishes at this time. (Well somebody had to say something instead of us all posting sad emoticons at 9 in the morning!)

Cat! We’ve missed you round here, you delightful gentleman! I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Wishing you all the very best with the op and the treatment; though you’ve survived a knife and an axe in your head, so this should be a piece of piss Seriously though, hope all goes well, and please keep us updated.

Fucking hell, don't start going down that road. You would have got the total sum of fuck all had you been an independent nation.

He's a friend of mine's father. Really, really sad news, especially so close to Christmas. EDIT: I've passed your sympathies on to her. The fact that he was so loved in the Netherlands is helping her with her personal loss.

Here's my list of the most significant deaths in 2020.

Please be careful and don't ever drink or use drugs and drive, especially getting so close to Christmas as you are likely to be stopped and breathalysed/swabbed. Last night I had a few drinks at a friends. (All outside and social distancing!) I haven't drank for a couple years but with this year and how it's been I thought bugger it, why not. I'd had a couple of pints and then had a few whiskeys. I knew was over the limit, so I decided to leave my car at my mates and took a bus home. Sure enough, I passed by lots of police road blocks who were pulling over drivers, but because I was in a bus they just waved it past. I arrived home safely and without incident, which was a real surprise as I've never driven a bus before and I am not even sure where I got it from. Merry Christmas.

DeathList lost its Biggs-est supporter on this day 7 years ago (aged 84).

I had the vaccine a few days ago along with most of the hospital staff I work with and the only thing to come from from it is your arm aches and get a dry mouth.

Alright, I have now finished googling all picks this year to see if there are any hidden hits - and while I saw some previously unknown deaths, none of them got a qualifying obit. So, if you see any other hit - let me know...

Valerie Leon was in 6. Brian Osborne was in 5. Jacki Piper was in 4. Larry Dann was in 4.

Given that I seem to have inherited the concentration of a gnat in the last couple of months I have started going through all the British Library Crime Classics series. Marvellous throwaway stuff. Did not realise that cocaine was such a huge problem in the 20s, 30s and 40s. I recommend Anthony Roll's Family Matters if you need to get rid of a spouse.

Bloody hell - he's lost some weight!

I just remembered this a few minutes ago when we were discussing 80s acts. I see someone at this Stock Aitken Waterman blog has linked to DeathList and asked an open question about whether he's dead or not. Wiki have also removed his date of death due to it being unsourced. I know Mike Stock semi-acknowledged the death rumour in a subsequent tweet without actually confirming whether it was true or not. So now that the 2019 deaths are listed in the GRO and I'm a bit better at this, here's proof of his demise: Jason John (aka Jason Herbert) is commonly cited to having been born 18 Mar 1967 in Coventry. The only person with the surname Herbert who was both born in 1967 and died in 2019 according to the GRO is: Reverse this in FreeBMD and we get our man's birth in Coventry (registered in the 2nd quarter even though he was born in the first, not uncommon though): So, he's definitely dead.
