Famous last words, but I think he's doing okay... Still, there is that trio of 90 year old (or now, 91) legendary actors Gene Hackman, Clint Eastwood and Robert Duvall. They all "should" make the List soon.

Anybody that hosts a show celebrating people dying from AIDS deserves no sympathy. Good riddance.

Demi Lavato is a Disney star and child actress who has been struggling with alocholism and drug addiction for at least 10 years now. It's been revealed that she suffered three heart attacks and a stroke following an overdose a couple of years ago. Seems like a prime candidate for an early grave.

And even if it doesn't my historical ability to finish 3rd in any 2 horse race certainly does. I also hold the arguably higher moral ground with three actual thesps. Another poor omen. The ignominy of my valiant luvvies being beaten by: A basketball player A right wing shock jock and Has to be pretty close to a nailed on certainty. Let's not forget the possibility of a late showing from the remainder of the field, which when I looked, was not multiple teams of healthy 20 year olds.

Even after all the tributes I can't stop crying. I didn't pick him.

The Fifth death last year occurred on day 64. That would place it on 5th March this year. However the sixth death was on day 74. Worth noting that the previous record year 2017 didn't get it's fourth hit until 15th May

As I don't want to bore you with overly long CV lists, I'll note the two things which guarantee her a Guardian obit. Peter's Friends, the Fry and Laurie/Emma Thompson/Branagh film from the early 90s oft cited as highly influential among Guardian type writers. And... The Dalek Invasion of Earth. (Although there's a myth she was considered as a Dr Who companion, the role *was* but Pamela Franklin was set to play it. When that fell through, she dropped out, the role got scaled down, and Ann Davies signed on... would have been interesting to say least as Franklin was 13 at time Invasion was filmed!)

Apologies if this has been posted before but there's a tweet from Richard Briers' daughter marking the anniversary of his death. She refers to Mum who has Alzheimer's. Mum, of course, is Ann Davies, who was an actress in her own right. As Lucy is also an actress, I would think it likely Davies would get some kind of qualifying obituary.

He damaged an enitre nation. So glad he got to see President Biden elected and begin to erase everything Trump did with a Dem House and Senate. RIP to my 4th hit this year. Hope his hell is staffed with femi-nazis

Just a bit of appreciation for the alleged "snowflake generation" who were hit completely suddenly, same as the rest of us true, but we had bad things Thatcher happen so were not so surprised and better equipped for it. I'm absolutely amazed and encouraged by their resilience so far and the younger members here are to be applauded for their utter courage if you ask me. They really have shown so much bravery in the face of this utter shitstorm. My daughter had an entire pregnancy and birth without her mother (or any support) due to restrictions. I don't know when I will be ever able to hold the wee girl, but my loss is nothing measured against hers without her mother. I think we're totally forgetting the sacrifices made by young people. I see them though, and thank fuck. Their sense and maturity really gives me hope. Unless that's just elite DLers?
