Here's your answer @drol: Died in 2011. See this Facebook post. It has a picture of what appears to be a funeral programme.

Frankie Valli, who came to fame for his distinctive falsetto as the lead singer of the Four Seasons, is 87 years old this Monday. Valli also released a number of solo albums during the 70s and the title song from the film "Grease".

Good points, it does feel like a lot of the low hanging fruit has been cleared over the past 12 months and there are now fewer obvious candidates for the remainder of this year. Dole and Jimmy Carter are probably the only two I'd bet my mortgage on not surviving the year.

I'd add Bob Barker and Abdelaziz Bouteflika to the list. There's been discussion on Barker and doesn't sound like he'll be here long enough to see 2022. Bouteflika is surrounded by a medical team at all times. I would also add Imelda Marcos (hasn't been seen in over a year) to the list but her grandson can't wait to see her when the quarantine ends and says she "outpaces us with restlessness energy" so it seems like the shoe collector isn't going to be our next hit.

Verbitsky was apparently rushed into hospital on the 30th on non-COVID related matters, thought it was worth at least one Proper Famous pick in my team.

Arthur Smith will turn 106 on May 8th 2021. He played his first Football League match in December 1934 - almost 5 years before the start of WW2. His career was with Bury and Leicester City. He is believed to be the oldest ever Football League player of the 44179 players (to date) who have appeared since the League was formed in 1888. He is now older than the oldest ever County Cricketer John Manners who died in 2020 aged 105.

Former presenter on the BBC, writer and actor in Whirligig (for those old enough to remember), the man who was uncredited as songwriter on Tulips From Amsterdam (because he adapted it from the original) and the man who brought Countdown to the UK, Marcel Stellman, reportedly dead: IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0826368/ Yes, a famous Belgian too!

Michael Hernandez, who as a 14-year-old carefully planned the cold-blooded murder of his best friend Jaime Gough by luring him into a school bathroom stall and slitting his throat, has died in prison. He was 31. https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/florida-teen-convicted-of-killing-friend-in-middle-school-bathroom-dies-in-prison-at-31?taid=608fbdee658d7c00018698a9&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter

Alan Moore, the British comic book author, announced a new 5-part epic fantasy series: https://www.theguardian.com/books/2021/may/03/im-bursting-with-fiction-alan-moore-announces-five-volume-fantasy-epic He's always been in our sights for his gaunt, haggard look. But now he probably thinks he can live long enough to finish this.

Guardian obit for Patricia Brown, aged 103. A Bletchley Park codebreaker during WWII. Likely she was the oldest of the remaining names. I think there’s a couple of dozen still around though... all between 94 and 100. All QO material. Someone else should make a list of them. I’ve retired from DL list making. My work is very busy again now that BoomerRemover-19 is under control in Blighty.
