Well Congratulations to @Bananayou are the Champion of the Third Scavenger Hunt Bingo Deadpool and the first player to get all 5 in one category. I am quite pleased each way of winning has now be achieved Thanks must also go to @RoverAndOutfor picking such categories to give such a whirlwind game. Also msc, The Old Crem and Rover all picked Andre Maranne as well. @Dying Probablywas the only player without a score. I will update the scoreboard.

Now the whole thing is clear. Bill Gates' Dad was an incredibly important person, fully deserving his place on the DL, because it was him that was acting as peacemaker and keeping the marriage together. Now he has gone, the whole thing is falling apart.

Congrats @Banana! It looked fairly likely and I'm glad things didn't get complicated by someone else winning with Michael Collins instead! Thanks, as always to @Bibliogryphon for running things so efficiently and for devising such a clever and engaging format. As he said, all 3 games have now been won by a different method, proving they're all possible outs if you pick wisely and I'm pleased the game still ended in a competitive way with lots of possible winners even if we got there in quicker than usual time! Good luck with the next one Banana, I look forward to seeing your choices and making my picks! Are we looking at a 1st June start date by any chance?

In fact, bollocks, while I’m here, all of Star Wars can go to Room 101. All of it. Every character, every film, every reference. Get to fuck.

Astronomer Kees de Jager turned 100 last week. He wrote his last scientific paper 2 years ago and he used to be in great shape (running a 10k at the age of 91) until he took a nasty fall last year. He had to follow his centenary on Zoom but was still able to give interviews (and he was the coverboy of the dutch New Scientist).

Some inside gossip I've received... Sir Jamie McGrigor (wiki), 72 in October, former Conservative MSP, lifelong smoker and big drinker, is in a bad way I'm told. Walks around with an oxygen tank. Somehow survived a bout of COVID at the end of last year. One to watch John Scott (wiki), 70 next month, current Conservative MSP and re-standing in this week's election. I posted last year the media coverage on how he had "survived" pancreatic cancer. I was skeptical at the time, because very few people (less than 5–10%) do. Told he's "in remission" but still being treated. Not in the all-clear and certainly not in the best shape. An aside... Donnie MacMillan is another name I've just come across. He's the oldest councillor in Scotland – an independent in Argyll, and he's served for about 40 years. Turns 94 in October. He received a British Empire Medal in 2019 and I'm told that he's not only restanding next year but wants to be the first centenarian councillor in the UK. We'll see...

I've begun to look at Roark and he is an odd one. Los Angeles/Hollywood newspaper clippings state he was "from the East", a "medical student from Chicago", and a member of the 11th Airborne Division in WWII, but I haven't been able to find anything with those clues yet. I'm wondering if "Roark" was a stage name. The 1926 DOB comes from the US Public Records Index under a Robert R Roark living in Beverly Hills to the 1990s, but no connection to that person being an actor, and I haven't yet been able to track that person's origins.

A name from @Vaagheid's original list – Jane La Verne. She's been in limbo as a "possibly living" name mentioned on various sites where surviving silent film stars have been discussed. Well, I'm pretty certain I've cracked this. Took me a good 30 mins on Ancestry but I've found her records. IMDb says she was born as Mary Jane Kutzman in Redlands, California on 27th July 1922. Almost. Firstly, when you search for this record, nothing appears but what does spring up are other suggestions – various residence, census and marriage/divorce records for a Mary J/Jane Kuntzman/Kuntzmann/Kuzman (lots of alternate spellings, but most of them seem to be the same person). There is however a birth certificate for a Marion J. Kuntzman in San Bernardino County, California (where Redlands is located) for 27th July 1921 (one year off the DOB listed on IMDb). Thereafter she always went by the name of Mary rather than Marion in every other record. Anyway, long story short is she died in Orange County, California in December 1993, aged 72. Here's her death record: Name Marion Jane Langendorfer Pohl Mother Taylor Father Kuntzman Birth California 27 Jul 1921 Death 17 Dec 1993 Orange

Thought André Maranne would be No.11. But Buydens bought it first. Then Norm. Then Dilip. Then a Girl Aloud. I’m now over double what the Official DL is at, ahead of my scores at the end of ‘17 and ‘18 and tied with ‘19. QR: 15 CS: 14 DL: 9 EDIT: Updated for Harding, Greaves
