Yes now starting to be confirmed and reported more widely beyond Algeria. Rarely have so many people felt so happy and relieved at a plop and splosh in a toilet bowl! The enema has finally delivered and hopefully quelled the doubts ,fears and strengthened the faith of many in this glorious nanosphere and ecosystem on the Internet! Change is on the way. All hail the enema!

When I started deadpooling 13 years ago, he was a “possibly can’t last another year” name. Turned into even more of a coffin tease than Zsa Zsa!

It's a corrupt gangster state, with a lot people only where they are because of him. They need him alive for as long as possible. When he croaks we could see some horrific civil war there.

Mengistu is DEFINITELY a deathlisty name. Red Terror ideator who ruled Ethiopia for two decades, one of the worst dictators of the continent, responsible for about 2000000 Ethiopian deaths. I won't resort to Dai Llewellyn or Ruby Muhammad, but DL has scored with Daniel arap Moi, Robert Mugabe, Mobutu and Hastings Banda. Mengistu is at their level of (in)fame if not even more. I repeat ignorance is not a virtue.

48 years since Sweden's Gustaf VI Adolf died aged 90. Carl XVI Gustaf, VI Adolf's grandson, became the new king. Carl's father, Prince Gustaf Adolf had died aged 40 in a plane crash in 1947. Interesting longevity in the family, three out of the five of VI Adolf's children lived to 90+. Not long before his death, Gustaf VI Adolf approved a new constitution that stripped the monarchy of its remaining political functions, leaving his grandson Carl XVI Gustaf a ceremonial figurehead. Carl XVI Gustaf, 75, has been Sweden's longest-reigning monarch since 2018.

I met her on several occasions. A lovely lady, and a respectable artist in her own right so it upsets me that the media have to make the story of her death all about Boris. I have one of her paintings in my living room, she came over to hang it and we had tea and biscuits.

An excerpt of the Express obit: He clearly didn’t pay attention to her in the slightest, but she tried. May she rest in peace.
