Reg Beresford, who like Alf Patrick, celebrated his 100th birthday earlier this year, has, like Patrick, died a few months later. He died on the 14th October 2021 - see link here: https://www.walsallswimmingclub.com/post/reg-beresford-club-president-1921-2021 It's a lovely tribute on there as it shows these guys are often more than someone who played football once or twice:

Just serving a reminder that “left” and “woke” are not negative traits, and the practice you speak of, common though it may be with the left, is a matter of morals rather than political alignment. Of course, one can often influence the other, but it’s really quite self-defeating (not to mention conflict-stoking) for one to use “left” (as it is “right”) as a qualifier for one’s dislike of someone. Sure, this is coming from someone often seen in the PDR thread trashing the shit out of people on the right, but it’s never because they’re right-wing, it’s because they’re nasty cunts. Correlation is not causation and all that.

Don't forget a certain Olivia Newton John's interest in all of this: I preferred this to Musclebound by Spandau Ballet, simply for the decoration of the ahem set....

Apparently former Uriah Heep singer John Lawton was part of the 1976 Eurovision entry for Germany, the Les Humphries Singers. Lawton reportedly died at the end of last month: https://blabbermouth.net/news/former-uriah-heep-singer-john-lawton-dead-at-74/ I'll go out on a limb here and suggest he's far right in this clip from the Contest - not Germany's finest hour, but I think they were jumping on the previous winner from Netherlands: Edit: Comments in YT suggest the guy in blue in the clip is John Lawton. Well, I had a 25 per cent chance of guessing right.
