Well, yeah...or maybe she's quietly put herself on Tinder and the attention has cheered her up

In fact the Queen has seemed to be remarkably cheerful since Philip died. I can't remember seeing her smiling and laughing so much as she has this past year. I think it's the opposite - his death came as a relief from the stress of worrying about him as his health declined in recent years. I don't think they actually spent a lot of time together until the pandemic forced them into isolation together at Windsor - remember he used to spend most of his time in a cottage at Sandringham. So she also has the comfort of knowing that they made the most of the time he had left, and no regrets over lost time.

You're not observing anything. You are comparing two totally different scenarios. In one a niece visited a cancer stricken uncle when she happened to be in France. In another a grandson who lives in the USA visited his grandmother when he was in Europe. Why is it so difficult for 'observers' to understand that she is 95 years old, 96 in 5 days time. How many 95 year olds do you know who are upright and able to the stand long enough to present 190 sets of fucking coins. She's fucking old. Not dying. Just fucking old and will survive long enough in her armchair.

As someone who has estranged relatives, I don't think the term means what the Mail thinks it does. They don't stay in touch, or visit, or even go to funerals.

On this day in 1882 british sanitary engineer George Jennings died aged 71. He invented the first public flush toilet and that was installed in 1851 in The Crystal Palace in Hyde Park as part of that years famous Great exhibition. His original public flush toilets were called monkey closets!

The respected Czech animator Vlasta Pospíšilová, who created cartoons for several generations of Czech children, has died at the age of 87. Vlasta Pospíšilová learned the art of cartoon making under the guidance of Czech animation legend Jiří Trnka and later made her mark in Czech animation with her characters for the series Broučci (Beetles), Pat a Mat or Jan Werich's Fimfárum. She worked not only as an animator, but later also as a director and screenwriter. SC

The reason why it’s so difficult is because they compare her to a immortal being blessed by god him self and they think she will never die which is shit. I honestly think she might live to 100 Years Old because how healthy she is at 95 almost 96 and like Prince Phillip was 99 when he died but then again he looked like only his big toe was sticking out of his grave when he died over a year ago. But the Queen has huge expectations on her because of her status as The Queen.

I'd be surprised if he died and there was no mention on the Bond social media platforms. Unless he died well under the radar

That was treated as uncited fake news at the time so I'm going to be properly fucked off if it turns out to have been true. Especially as my first sub for that team, Ralph Riach, has sadly died.

Newton Cruz, the awful main repressor during the Brazilian dictatorship, is finally dead at 97. Noted for killing journalists and placing false-flag bombs in order to accuse opposition groups. Really one of the most despicable beings who lived in the last century. Good riddance.

I think this is more a PR exercise. Trying to limit discussion of a rift in the family. I think if Harry thought this was the last time he was going to see his Grandma he would have brought the kids. This was popping in because he was in the area.

If she was fit to announce a regency there would be no need for a regency. I think she'll just continue delegating most duties to Charles et al.

The Official Entry period is now closed and the masterlist on page 1 is the definitive article. Late entries are permitted but no duplicate picks are allowed. You may be better off waiting for Round IV. With a much higher number of players it is possible this will be a shorter game Leslie Phillips is picked by 4 teams and there are a number of picks who are on two teams but it is a wide field and some interesting choices Thank you all for playing

Just been to see Death on the Nile Very difficult to judge as I remember the Peter Ustinov one so vividly. It drags at the beginning but warms up in the second half. Egypt is probably the Star.
