Let's have a quick update, because REMINDER: Replacement day is 1st of July. It's coming up. You can also replace now already, but the hits will only count from July 1st on. In other news, we have the big hit Jean-Louis Trintignant, picked by a lot of people. We also have the hit Peter Scott-Morgan, picked here and there. Especially meaningful though because the new leader has picked him. There's also Hugh McElhenny, the American football player who is a unique hit for Wormfarmer. I also had to add some points to Doulton because I didn't mark Walter Abish as dead, sorry! It all results in a new leader, Banana, well done! Half-time is apporaching, and because Banana picked both Jean-Louis Trintignant and Peter Scott-Morgan, there's now a bit of a gap to Salmon Mousse. Liberal hubris, which seems to happen too often. They let the perfect be the enemy of the good. They cram all they want into huge bills which then get taken apart bit by bit.

I remember in an interview where Paul Sabu pointed out that his mother Marilyn was still alive plus she seems to still be living in the Pacific Palisades, California or Glendale as Marilyn C. Sabu

and his death inevitably overshadowed that of Farrah Fawcett, who also died that day, aged 62.

While I agree with the prognosis, I'd just like to counter a popular net myth and point out that post election exit polls had around 90% of Sanders voters voting Clinton, an eben higher number than Clinton voters in 2008 who voted Obama! Those interested enough to vote in a primary held up. Its the less interested in politics types who had voted Democratic in 2012 but didn't in 2016. I know Twitter distorts this. Ginsburg should have retired in 2009ish but tbf I think McConnell's intransigence since took them by surprise, like how the Democratic Senates distrust of Obama knocked the wind out of his sails. I don't see how any of this is reversible now. You'd need new parties and frankly new voters.

Carly Simon is 77. For those wondering why she was on DeathList 1999, it was because she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997.

Chilean youtuber "Lad Cobra" dead at 42 Honestly a big shock, he wasn't one of the most popular youtubers but he was big in the more niche lolcow type of the latin american internet.

American actress June Lockhart celebrates her 97th birthday today . Primarily a television actress June is probably most famous for starring in american TV shows Lost in Space and Lassie. Films she has starred in include A Christmas Carol (1938), Meet me in St Louis (1944) with Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien and a dark film noir titled Bury me dead (1947) . Australian swimmer and Olympic gold medallist Kyle Chalmers turns 24 today.

I was in Catholic school for a couple of years in middle school (not out of religious reasons - basically it was the only option besides public school which was putting me through some rough shite). They legit had "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby, who is spiritually adopted, and is in danger of abortion, amen" in the morning prayers. Fucking mental. One kid in particular was very vocal about his politics. Said without a hint of self awareness the likes of "I think George Bush is cool!" and openly said he was prejudiced against gay people (but denied he was a homophobe, because his father spoonfed him a fake meaning of "homophobe"). At the time he really got on my nerves but now it just makes me sad, given he was one of those kids who obviously wasn't seen by his parents as anything but a blank slate for them to spoonfeed all of their worldviews into. And that kind of brainwashing (plus the FOX and far-right social media rabbit holes) is exactly how the GOP consolidates power - the crazier they make their base, the more free reign they have to be mask off.

We’ve spoken about her in length on here before. There is literally a photo of her grave with name, spouse, birth and death dates.

I really don't understand how any reading of the Bible gets you to a place where you force women to give birth against their will and refuse to contemplate any measures to stop the slaughter of innocent children.

Fuck Knew him from Final Score on Grandstand. Mostly doing match reports but presented the odd time generally if there was a full round of fixtures on Bank Holidays when Final Score was a stand alone programme

Thank you, @msc for the March match and best of luck for your new match. Well played! I'm not going to forget this month. You're not going to need luck... your new opponent is very "easy". So farewell, @msc.

@gcreptile... I'm getting a bit bored with Deborah James, frankly. You'd be amazed at what I'm starting to believe about her. Vicky Phelan seems a much more authentic and interesting person. But my favourite was Nadia Chaudhri. I miss her posts.

@Bibliogryphon... According to The American Historical Association: https://www.historians.org/publications-and-directories/perspectives-on-history/october-2021/irwin-unger-(1927–2021) And Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irwin_Unger Irwin Unger, who won the Pulitzer Prize for History in 1965, passed away on May 21, 2021, at age 94. It's a hit here for three players. But the Starting Date of this pool was 01 June 2021. What they have to do now is find a substitute for Irwin Unger. Right?

Paul Muller could be vandalism, I do not believe he died off the radar after in 2015 he appeared in a documentary. Italian media should write about it. Here's a photo of him in 2019
