You know you can post these in this far more suitable thread. This thread shouldn’t have any more death mentions now that this thread exists:

Sadly none. His cancer is terminal, we know that much, but how “treatable” (ie life extending) it is, I don’t know. Field was a deathpool trap. Most of the time hospice = imminent death. All that said, his age and his recent elusiveness would suggest it’s unlikely he’ll see out 2023.

Well, it is nearly 4 months later since the last post and during my research for the DDP, I can't figure if he's a worthy pick for 2023. Yes, he'll QO and he is said to have stage 4 cancer, but the type of cancer is unknown. I picked him in 2021 and with him reaching 80, he's dropped in points too. I can't find much from him in 2022, but here's a timeline of events. 22 Oct 2021 - Baroness Meacher announced his illness and stay in hospice during a debate on assisted dying; this thread created by @Ulitzer95 29 Oct 2021 - Last tweet on Twitter by the @frankfieldteam, thanking for the outpouring of support 1 Jan 2022 - Receives New Year's Honours 17 Feb 2022 - given "the Freedom of Wirral" 2 Sept 2022 - co-wrote an article on the cost of living & energy crisis, mentioned by @Sean above ** the only action directly attributed to Field in 2022 ** His personal webite (frankfield.co.uk) hasn't been updated since November 2019. The Frank Field Education Trust is active, but it is unlikely he has any part in the day-to-day works. I'll ask @Ulitzer95 - any insight you have?

Alright, time for this to happen again. My neglect shan't continue however, your new host is @wannamaker! (I only made the thread to have my name on it, a.k.a. narcissism) Repeating the rules for new entrants: Have a list of 10 political candidates. This includes Presidents, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, Deputy Prime Ministers, Dictators, Parliamentarians, as well as losing candidates. (so you can have Jimmy Carter, Dan Quayle, John Major, Nick Clegg, Kim Jong Un as well as Michael Dukakis - oh and don't forget the random MPs and Representatives.) They can be from any UN member state and from any election within said nations. Order them from most likely to least likely. You get 10 points for first place, 9 for second, 8 for third, etc. etc. One extra point is awarded for unique picks. One extra point is awarded for murders/unexpected deaths, as long as you don't commit them yourselves... You can't pick someone who will be executed. (as to be expected) Pick two subs please. And if you've got one with no Wikipedia page, then SEND A LINK EXPLAINING WHO THEY ARE!!! If one of the picks is dead, @ wannamaker when you tell us, please. Entries don't close - join whenever (unless wannamaker changes this) Send entries to wannamaker.

And so, as the racers turn into the home straight, let's take a look at the field. December has been a quiet month for this pool, with only 4 hits noted since the last update. December 6th: Jet Black December 7th: Harry Yee December 11th: Abigail K.K. Kawānanakoa December 23rd: Kaikala Satyanarayana I will be doing a thorough trawl through the names once the game is over, but you can help me out a little by checking your own teams and letting ,me know if I've missed anyone. The hits may have been small in number, but they (well one of them!) were massive in importance. Harry Yee's death gave the top of the leaderboard a shake, and restored @Death Impendsto her familiar position at the top, with a record score for this pool of 3098 points. The top 5 is as follows: Death Impends (3098 points) 16 hits [Antonio Inoki, Art Rupe, Bill Pitman, Carleton Carpenter, Charley Trippi, George Perez, Harry Yee, Joe Krush, Kane Tanaka, Larry Storch*, Leslie Phillips, Marsha Hunt, Monty Norman, Nehemiah Persoff, Robert Clary] An Fear Beag (2758 points) 12 hits [Bill Turnbull*, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Jiang Zemin, Kane Tanaka, Leslie Phillips, Michael O’Connor, Mikhail Gorbachev, Mollie Walker, Olivia Newton-John, Tom Smith, Tom Weiskopf, Vicky Phelan] Wormfarmer (2656 points) 15 hits [Art Rupe, Boris Pahor, Charley Trippi, Everett Lee, Francis Jackson, Gail Halvorsen, Gary Burgess, Guy Lafleur, James Lovelock, Leslie Phillips*, Luis Echeverria, Marsha Hunt, Queen Elizabeth II, Susie Steiner, Tom Weiskopf] ZZZ - Boring Predictable Team (2327 points) 13 hits [Bill Turnbull, Gary Burgess, George Perez, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Jerry Lee Lewis, Kane Tanaka, Leslie Phillips, Mikhail Gorbachev, Olivia Newton-John, Queen Elizabeth II, Susie Steiner, Tom Parker, Tom Smith] MSC (2109 points) 8 hits [Angela Lansbury, David Butler, James Lovelock, Jill Knight, Leslie Phillips, Nehemiah Persoff, Peter Tobin*, Queen Elizabeth II] Will it be enough, however? This game is known for its late drama - with 5 days to go, could there be one last twist in the tail? Any of the following names would give me a late hit, and the lead: Agnes Kelati George Alagiah Graham Bailey James Whale Jimmy Carter Linda Nolan Marianne Faithfull Mary Quant Nigel Lawson Shannon Doherty Thomas J FItzpatrick @Wormfarmer is not completely out of it at this stage, although their hopes are fading. The December 31st Bonus would be enough to give them the most dramatic of victories, if any of the following were to go on the last day: Agnes Kelati Al Jaffee Emperor Akihito Frank Field James Whale June Spencer Khalida Zia Pope Benedict XVI Tony Bennett Walter Mirisch
