I hope as summer approachs we get more hits, summer is always a good time for the death list If the DL had existed in the 14th Century then indeed Summer would have been a rich time for hits. However these days Winter is the cruellest month. http://www.economist.com/news/science-and-technology/21627561-cold-times-year-have-not-always-been-most-lethal-cruellest-months

Me too. They wouldn't let him on the likes of NPR/PBS would they, especially the edukayshunal shows... Where you have to be able to spell potatoes you mean?
-
I could compare him to Nick Cave or Madonna..... ..or a summer's day

What, down on all-fours on her carpet, screaming loudly?

Totally agree. Mental well being for all ought to be an ongoing priority. Taking the guns out of circulation helps as well though.

Dunno, think those 16 kids with bullet holes in their abdomens might have been the start of that curse. UK hasn't had a good massacre in ages...possibly as a result of the above, so some good came of it. I remember it well. What exactly would constitute a bad massacre? And then there was 7/7 and Derrick Bird. Don't they count? I know, it's been ages. You suggesting one is due?

Meanwhile over on the Lynard Skynard thread. http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=7578#entry224025Where you find details of band members who didn't die in crashes. Which means what you should actually say is, oh look somebody died of something which caused their death. Oh look somebody died of something which caused their death Happy now? Overjoyed

Posted 45 mins ago over on the Old Folkies thread. Sorry boss. Next time type out her name so a search will pick it up. The search facility at the top of the page does pick up Joni's name even under a link (which is where I'll assume it picks the name up from). http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-32181499 She still has another chance to see Richard.

Apparently with traumatic rectal injury (http://www.news.com.au/world/oil-heir-andrew-getty-found-dead-in-los-angeles-mansion-with-traumatic-rectal-injury/story-fndir2ev-1227287609232). Perhaps he was trying to hide some of the family fortune Alternatively if he ad used some of his family's oil his injury might not had been so traumatic... You do realize it's April Fools Day? SC No it's true. The April Fool was the story that no news outlet was reporting the election was too close to call.

If I read that piece correctly ("Today is the day I have chosen to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible brain cancer that has taken so much from me - but would have taken so much more.") her death was a case of euthanasia/assisted suicide. Half a year ago she advised Brittany Maynard against such an end. I conclude that that woman subscribed to the moral school of "Do as I say, not as I do". Such hypocrisy isn't rare in Xians. Indeed (sorry that's not much but I noticed I was on 99 posts).

I hate to say it, but over on the Political Frailty thread an hour ago http://www.deathlist.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3839&page=84#entry223140

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12529781/chuck-bednarik-philadelphia-eagles-hall-famer-dies-age-89 Chuck Bednarick, Philedelphia Eagles hall of famer - yes that one; of course you've heard of him, played offense AND defense for pity's sake.

I get a "video has been removed by the user" error message when I try to click on SC's embedded video. Maybe it's just not available in my country or on mobile devices...? I see the same error. A few hours ago I watched the video, so something has changed. Of course this can be a personal thing, e.g. because I've been naughty. Video seems to be working fine. I don't get why they all carried on fighting. Unless falling down dead was in the script.

Socialism relies on private financial interests to generate the tax revenue for public industries.Socialism as it existed in the Eastern Bloc didn't rely on private financial interests. It relied on "socialist work ethics" and "socialist education". But if someone lacked the ethics and couldn't be brainwashed at school, they could still be charged with "social parasitism" (which was a criminal offence) if they didn't want to get a proper job (like freelancer artists). So this mixed system advocated by the Western European parties is still better, even if it seems a bit inconsistent. Socialism didn't exist in the 'eastern bloc'. A system of power pervaded which used a convenient title. Socialism as a philosophy is about making sure everyone has at least the basics needed for existence (food, warmth, shelter) which no one with an interest in humanity would deny.

Socialism relies on private financial interests to generate the tax revenue for public industries. Stop feeding uncomfortable truths to a community full of lefties you like-whore! (oh wait you're just saying socialism should be replaced with full-on communism but whatever, it vaguely looks like you "admitted" something so I'm happy) First time a Labour Party spokespiece has ever said Frank Field was responding well to treatment
