Former Maharashtra legspinner Sunil Gudge, 56, passed away on Tuesday at his residence in Pune, following a heart attack. “He was watching TV at home when he suffered the heart attack,” according to informed sources. Born in Pune on December 31, 1959, the legspinner and handy lower-order batsman played 55 first-class matches during a career lasting a decade and a half. OK what the fucking hell is a legspinner and I mean apart from a strip club? There's no way in hell a position on the cricket field is 'legspinner' please say it ain't so. Are Beverly Cleary's works popular in the UK? I think they are mostly an American thing, meaning the committee likely hasn't heard of her. She would get an obit, but her books aren't very popular in the UK Oh but the committee has actual working knowledge of all the hunks of flesh from NZ or AUS they list. Get out of my sight! SC

In other suicidal news today.... George John Dryden, who spent years of his life trying to prove conclusively he was the love child of former Canadian prime minister John George Diefenbaker, died on Sunday. Dryden, 47, who had terminal pancreatic disease, suffered fatal injuries in a suicide attempt. He blamed decades of alcohol abuse for the illness. Sarah Kershaw, a former reporter for The New York Times who covered real estate, the Pacific Northwest and New York City schools, died on Monday at her home in Sosúa, a beach town in the Dominican Republic. She was 49. She was found with a plastic bag tied over her head and pill bottles beside her, said Osvaldo Bonilla, a prosecutor for the province of Puerto Plata, who is investigating her death. Officials are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before determining the cause of death, but Ms. Kershaw told friends that she planned to end her life because she suffered from a debilitating illness, Mr. Bonilla said. You've made eight posts in six years, two of which were about your hatred of BBC organizational politics. Are you Noel Edmonds? And with such little effort you made Spade take time to look that up (had to read EVERY one of your posts to do so!). In my book, Charlotte just won the 'Bee-in-Bonnet' award. SC Its Charlottes 'Controller' which suggests that the poster is, maybe, a 52 year old unemployed alcoholic ( sacked by the BBC ) whos wife/partner Charlotte is subject to house arrest, no friends allowed, no phone and has been forced to cut off contact with her worried family.Or summat. Though that surprisingly describes me to a tee.... I have to deny..... I have to...... Oh fuck it. It's me. SC

Phantom this ties in with the recent KMart (Sears) posts. Sports Authority was a KMart creation and spinoff if you will. I recall when they opened, they seemed overpriced but DID have decent deals now and again. But like you, I've not stepped foot in one in at least a decade. Too much competition. SC

Not quite important enough for Political Frailty.... (Bangladesh) Ruling party MP Mujibur Rahman Fakir has died after suffering a cardiac arrest. SC http://www.thefinancialexpress-bd.com/2016/05/02/28641/Mymensingh-3-MP-Mujibur-dies Oh but there's more: "Fakir hit the news several times while serving as a junior minister. Incidents like beating up a college teacher and stripping him off his clothes, shaving off people’s head and publicly announcing to marry a female MP aspirant in his constituency brought him up in the headlines."

From latest update: "country singer Merle Haggard has died. Haggard was one of the famed 'Outlaw' country singers along with the likes of Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings...".... I'd like "Forgetting About Kris Kristofferson" for $200, Alec.
