Almost incomprehensible translation job from Google.

    Deathlist picked the wrong Chirac.

Deathlist doesn't usually go in for the "Fringes of Fame/Family of the Famous" type of candidate.

Besides, as the article says, she was not well-known even in France, where many people didn't even know she existed.

    Very sad.

Dude -- OCD much? It's called a sense of humour, look into it.

  3. My heart is broken. As a child and into my teens I spent hundreds of untold hours listening to Detroit Tigers games on my transistor radio under my pillow when I was supposed to be sleeping, listening to the greatest broadcast team in baseball, Ernie Harwell and Paul Carey.

Paul Carey has died today at 88.

  4. Former Astros general manager Spec Richardson has died. He was 93.

Per the Associated Press, the Muscogee County (Ga.) coroner's office confirmed that Richardson died at his home in Columbus due to natural causes.

Richardson served as Astros GM from 1967-75. The team didn't make the playoffs during his tenure, with just two winning seasons in nine years.

  5. News that's 5 minutes old:

Howard Hokie Gajan, a football presence in Louisiana for more than 40 years, died Monday.

For the past 15 years, Gajan was the analyst of New Orleans Saints broadcasts on WWL-AM, but he was an all-state back at Baker High School and later a productive back at LSU under Charlie McClendon and Jerry Stovall. He went from being a 10th-round draft choice the 249th pick in 1981 to a prominent runner with the Saints under Bum Phillips and Jim Mora. Gajan was diagnosed with cancer last year, and his daughter Kristin Gajan Sell told WWL Radio on Monday morning that Gajan had been moved to intensive care.

RIP, big loss to Who Dat nation.

Ronnie "The King" Davis died Sunday from injuries sustained Saturday in a crash during a drag racing event at Rockingham Dragway. The track said Sunday that the 66-year-old Davis, from Suwanee, Georgia, had completed a final qualifying run in the PDRA Spring Nationals when his 1963 Corvette turned left and shot across the track in front rival Mark Malcuit's car. Davis' car cleared the right-side guardwall and barrel-rolled.

I felt it my obligation to post this story about barrel rolling a vehicle, given my recent past. I feel your pain bro.

Death Notice for Daphne Fairbanks, eldest child of Douglas Fairbanks Jr, aged 75. http://announcements.telegraph.co.uk/deaths/201578/fairbanks

Douglas not mentioned anywhere in that obit.

I'm not wrong, it's definitely her...look up The Peerage Page on her, the Sunday Express article where she comments on her son Dominick, etc etc.

Don't get all defensive. First, if you've posted something that doesn't buttress the point being proferred, you've presented incompetent evidence. Sounds like it's the Peerage Page that you needed to link to then. The onus isn't on anyone else to go 'look up' anything. As for an article that talks about her discussing her son, again If it doesn't mention her FATHER it fails to make your point and the only reason she would be posted in this thread. I've no fucking idea who Douglas Fairbanks GRANDCHILDREN are.

Now before you respond Y-Dub, re-read my first four words.
