No point, he's on the list of people mentioned in the thread already. I thought you'd be pleasantly surprised you had already mentioned him here.... -

Did he say "sexual union"? Phew, that's a bit strong before the watershed. (Surely the lady has done a sex tape, gotta be one out there....) Jesus died to save us all, God is love....as long as you're love is pure, beautiful heterosexual love.....Praise Jebus.....ah.....

So there we have it for now. A few movers and shakers though the top few maintain their positions, with gcreptile extending his lead for now. I'm sleepwalking my way into the second half of the year, cosseting my list of survivors, all 25 of them! Stay close, my pretties.... Now the next leaderboard will, as last year, show where you were last year if you entered so you can compare your hit numbers and scores with 12 months ago. Good luck!

She dead. Death reported in a qualifying source. I don't have to look any further. Leaderboard around midnight....

Have to say, that appreciation was lovely, very apt. We had some great professors back then and he was one of the most approachable, and sometimes fearsome. A tear in my eye....
-
A personal one - I see that my old Family Law professor, Joe Thomson, has died. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Thomson The only professor who had a party for final year students at his house. A fine fellow and gone too soon. RIP. A sad post for my Octotwunt status.

Q: Who will make their coffins? A: The Boxer.

Harry's Ducal title sweep? I'm going for:

He's going to Harry's wedding tomorrow I hear. Just as long as nobody asks whether anyone knows of any good cause or reason why they may not be wed, we should be fine....

Think he got a Guardian Obit. Yep. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2018/may/17/trevor-preston-obituary

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
YoungWillz replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
We are all different and yet we are all the same. I joined because I had been following for a while, then was faced with my own mortality, quickly followed by a family bereavement. I don't take the pooling side too seriously, winning is for losers, er no...wait, for winners actually, ha! But I am interested in finding out about more people, their lives and deaths and of course not missing any deaths of interest to me. Inevitably I would find out sometimes years after a person had died that they were gone and wonder why their death hadn't been reported - here, I can find that information much more quickly than through the UK media. My knowledge base has increased to the extent that I can now answer several questions on University Challenge, rather than the odd one or two I used to answer. So we are all here for our own reasons and sometimes some will take a break or leave because life moves on. I'm sure this will become an occasional pastime for you in due course, but as long as you are enjoying it and you don't take any posts on here too seriously, go for it. And if you really get tense with someone, block 'em. -
Political Discussions And Ranting Thread
YoungWillz replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
*sigh* Only so much I can take. "Conservative Councils cost you less than Labour" - Theresa May, 2018 pre-Council elections. Grenfell disaster caused by penny pinching Conservative Council. Not only that, but now every taxpayer in the country is paying for it through re-cladding tower blocks across the country. Jeremy Hunt apologises for breast cancer screening debacle. He will have to apologise again as it's just been discovered the same thing happened with cervical cancer screening. All on top of Windrush. And they have no idea what they're doing on Brexit. -
She's on Question Time right now, looking like she escaped from an episode of Blake's 7.
