Kitty McGeever, who played Lizzie Lakely in Emmerdale between 2009 and 2013, has died. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s12/emmerdale/news/a663883/emmerdale-star-kitty-mcgeever-dies-show-pays-tribute-to-true-inspiration.html#~plDACWxJgtyxCO -

I was just thinking last night how he'd be a good pick for 2016. Never mind.

True but nevertheless it is a huge tarnish to his party and to the British establishment. Maybe they will be able to follow some leads to track down living ones (maybe I am living in naive hope here.) There was a lot of speculation earlier in the week that a living, currently-serving MP and former cabinet minister was about to be named. I'm wondering if the only reason Heath has been named at last, is to protect whoever this living MP and abuser is.

Peter Arne was due to play Mr Range and his role went to the still living William Lucas. On the subject of Michael Grade I would invoke an anecdote by Richard O' Brien who during the Grade's reign at Channel 4 where The Crystal Maze was the most watched programme Grade would virtually ignore the creative team at events because he personally disliked the show. He does not seem to be a 'nice' man Chris Morris agrees... The following is a still of a subliminal message inserted into an episode of Brass Eye.

Reminds me of the story (possibly apocryphal) that John Dillinger used to dip his fingertips in acid to melt off his prints. Of course, once the burns healed the prints grew back, so his plan backfired. -

Euphemism? -
It's never been as good since WCW folded and WWE was the only big player left standing, the lack of any serious competition has rendered them complacent and arrogant, as well as leaving aspiring wrestlers with even fewer options. Nobody has gained from this scenario I'd pretty much agree with this, although TNA has its moments. To be honest, I stopped paying much attention to wrestling after Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit died. I watched a Lucha Underground show a few months ago though, it was absolutely superb- great matches given plenty of space to breathe, no squash matches, big spots, decent and believable promos, interesting story arcs, female wrestlers treated as athletes and not sex toys. Some shows are on YouTube; if you're into the wrestling side of things rather than the 'entertainment' bullshit you won't find much better.

Who Will Win The Leadership Election?
mijkediablo replied to Deathray's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Were Corbyn to win, I certainly think he would reenergise a long moribund party. He's got the ideas, the attitude, the principles. Of course the right wing press would try to tear him apart, as would the Blairite blue labour lot within his own party, but I sense that Corbyn has what it takes to rise above all of that nonsense. At the last election, the percentage of non-voters was enormous- more people didn't vote than voted Tory. It's those people Labour really need to reach out to, and I honestly think Jeremy Corbyn is the only candidate who could possibly do that. If he doesn't win (I deeply hope he does win, but...) then I'll lose all hope for the Labour party. Burnham's a clone, dishing out soundbytes about soundbytes, Cooper's still got Balls on her chin, for which the right wing press would crucify her, and Kendall may as well be a Tory. -

Real Housewives Of Orange County star LeAnn Edmonds Horton dead at 45. Apparently her battle against cancer was the focus of the show in recent weeks, surprised she wasn't on our radar. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/showbiz/s73/real-housewives/news/a660141/real-housewives-of-orange-countys-leann-edmonds-horton-dies-aged-45.html#~pjy63fz0KLzOik

Toupee or not Toupee....that is the question
mijkediablo replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I think I read the same- did Olly Murs and his hair plugs get a mention? Pretty sure I got that little nugget from DS. Possibly. I remember there was someone who was obsessed with whether Darren Bennett from Strictly wears a wig. Fenella Fielding was wearing a rather obvious wig in recent photos I saw of her and at 80 something may be a possibility in the not too distant future. Edit - Found the DS thread. There are some incredibly dim people on that forum aren't there ? http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=355980 I try to avoid DS where possible, it saps all of my hope for the future of humanity. The place is riddled with idiots. Nearly signed up there once, that could've been disastrous. -

I thought the same but realized I had him confused with Desmond Wilcox who was married to Esther Rantzen. Now you mention it I realise I've made exactly the same mistake. Great minds etc etc...
