I think it will be a scary and delicate time over there and my hope is that people can adjust to not having him around without old tensions boiling over again. I've seen just as many distraught people on FB as I have those planning celebrations. That's a good point, Toast, but also some actors and performers disappear from screens because they divert to other backstage areas. I know a very famous face from children's telly in the 80s when I was a kid, Paul Hendy, is now one of the biggest Pantomime producers in the country. Also, Roger De Courcey of Nookie Bear fame struck up a lucrative side line in theatrical parties for opening nights and wrap parties and has grown from there.

This **** got me into the biggest Facebook fight I've ever been in. Exaro news (now defunct) broke the news of his arrest, I told my mates and they flew at my throat like I'd just touched up their grannies. This was hot on the Saville scandal of course and lots of 70s and 80s icons were caught up in the mess. People were sensitive about crushed understandings of the world they grew up in. Exaro had a track record of being right on stuff when it came to naming names. Sometimes those names were innocent, mind, but they did know who had been collared by the fuzz. When they said Harris was the subject of MSM reports of a man being arrested on suspicion of that kind of thing, I knew they were right. When it was confirmed a few days later, my mates blamed me for being the messenger! lol For that reason, as well as others, I won't be sorry to see him go. Childhood memories in dust etc.

Well, she attended Church. Camera's caught her emerging from her car with long range lenses. BBC commentator made point that she was unaided etc. But to me, she moved like Ivy up the road from me who was gone within 6 months. Slow and slightly stooped. For me, it was the obvious deterioration between this year's Christmas broadcast compare to last year's. If you have the time, view them side by side. They are both on Youtube. Some may say in this year's broadcast she may have been going down with this bug, but given they record the broadcast around a month at least before transmission, maybe more, that means she has been 'under the weather' for a considerable time. Especially when taking into account we were told Phillip had the same bug yet had recovered enough to attend Church Christmas morning.
