At 6 now. At this point last year, I had 3, so it looks like my shadow list this year won't be a complete flop like last year.

Musharraf, Bacharach, and now Turner are three pretty big misses.

Wow, what a legacy, RIP. I knew she was on limited time after she sold her discography, but I didn't expect it to be this quick.

My interpretation was that he was referring to them as a couple, as their being together would end upon his death, but I don't disagree that she could die from a broken heart.

Saw this on Twitter and thought it was interesting: no U.S. President has died in May, and Carter's only a week away from keeping that true. However, June and July are the most popular months for Presidential death, with 6 and 7 each.

Video of Sen. Feinstein at today's committee hearing. She is still clearly dealing with the facial paralysis issues, but sounds somewhat clear.

Ran for President in 1988, one of the first major women to do so. Campaign went up in flames at an infamous tearful press conference

Biden discusses Carter's health: "I spent time with Jimmy Carter and it's finally caught up with him, but they found a way to keep him going for a lot longer than they anticipated because they found a breakthrough."
Also reveals that he has been asked to deliver Carter's eulogy.

Yikes! This is what they're willing to admit. My guess is he wasn't able to break his fall at all, would not be surprised to hear of a fracture or something more serious

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), 81, hospitalized for a fall.
History of poor health, polio survivor since childhood; previous refusal to comment on bruised hands and purple face in 2020.
Assuming he survives this, but we all know how one fall is all it takes to send someone down a spiral — especially after losing mobility.
Definitely a big name to keep an eye on, has been in the Senate since 1985 and led the Senate Republicans since 2007. Was the single biggest pain in Obama's (and maybe Trump's) ass for 8 years.

Sharpton also looks horrible. He could pass for someone who looks good in their early to mid eighties but absolutely terrible for someone not yet seventy.15 hours ago, The Old Crem said:Biden looks pretty well there but Jackson and Sharpton do not.
Sharpton does look pretty bad, but he also lost a *significant amount of weight* many years ago, and he's had a very gaunt appearance since then. He still seems active and has a show on MSNBC.

Civil rights activist and 2x Presidential candidate Jesse Jackson looking really frail at the Selma march w/ President Biden and Al Sharpton. Not speaking or moving. Turns 83 next year and has had Parkinson's since 2017 and had a long stay in the hospital for COVID in 2021. Definitely should be on the radar- 3

Sorry, I'm not buying this. Just another stunt

I mean, she's hospitalized with it. It's probably already an issue, or she has something complicating her condition. She's missed several votes this week due to a "health matter"
Don't expect this to be fatal of course, shingles is painful as hell but rarely fatal. However, the recovery time can last months, especially in older folks
