Great efforts from the team at Talk TV; they put in the sound of what Liz will do to the economy:
-
Inverness currently, to do a slightly modified version of the NC500. Should be a fun couple of days! Fort William after that, then meeting up with a mate I haven’t seen for a couple of years in Aberdeen. Should be a decent test of my coat’s waterproofing

Passing through most of this country, the weather was charming. Then I got to the A9 and it absolutely cunted it down.

It’s my birthday on Monday, and because it’s an occasion I’ve wanted to ignore but all my friends and my family insist I can’t, I’m pissing off on my own, completely unannounced, at silly o’clock tomorrow morning to do a Scottish road trip. Not the NC500, apparently that’s now full of camper vans and the McCarabinieri. But I shall be making time to do the Grand Tour version, the PENIS287.

Bit of a shame as what I see is an office Karen dressed as Thatcher for Hallowe’en, being the host body of a race for third place between her only two brain cells.

Cleverly by name, James by nature. Chancellor Kwasi, too. Christ. Pretty understandable given how he’s been in and out of Truss’ pork market in the past.

Voldemordaunt supporter invents new unit of time:
-
News we should be interested in: she’s ready to “hit the ground”.

Penny Dreadful is out. Sunak: 137 Truss: 113 Mordaunt: 105
-
Badenough’s campaign is done. No surprises there. Sunak: 118 Mordaunt: 92 Truss: 86 Badenoch: 59 Sunak’s gains are now petering out, Truss is fast catching Mordaunt and the vast majority of Badenoch’s far-right supporters will go Truss’ way. Truss also polls considerably better than Sunak amongst Tory members. It’ll be her, won’t it? Good fucking grief.

Incase you didn’t watch the debates, here are some of the key points:
-
The end for Tom Tughat. RESULTS: Sunak: 115 Mordaunt: 82 Truss: 71 Badenoch: 58 Tugendhat who used to be in the army: 31

Car was reading 39.0°C a couple of hours ago and I can well believe it. Been sweating like a glass blower’s arse.

Stupid cunt forgot he tabled a motion of no confidence in his government:
-
I’m also thinking Truss has a fair chance of becoming PM, and as Toastie has said above, she’ll crash and burn her party into opposition before long. Here’s her looking professional and stateswomanlike.
-
The Sky debate has been pulled because Sunak and Truss decided they don’t fancy it. Well, that’s what’s claimed, however it transpires that Tory HQ as a whole have decided it was a bad idea. Initially the debates were to be televised so the public could better get to know the candidates. Now the third one isn’t happening for fear of the public getting to know the candidates any more.

General Election. Now.
-
That’s a new one on me, but I don’t like it so I’ll bitchslap anyone I catch saying it from now on.
-
Just as weird as Sunak being from “humble beginnings”, despite being a product of Winchester, Oxford & Goldman Sachs. Speaking of these two twats, yesterday we had Truss not being able to find her way out of a room with one door: Now we have team Rishi who can’t spell. Waiaiinkiairs.
-
Even Voldemordaunt reeks of massive election loss. Truss though…I find the idea of her being PM about as hilarious as I do alarming. Think I’ve been desensitised to the utter decimation of our country.

Cruella Braverman is out, thank the fucking lord. Tugend is floundering, and Braverman’s votes will largely go to Badenough. Next vote is on Monday. By then, having received 5 fewer votes today than yesterday, Tugend might’ve dropped out.

Yep. The Owen Joneses of the world need to learn how to compromise, particularly now.
