    Shove Off, Eh?

Brian Mulroney, 18th Prime Minister of Canada (1984-1993), has died aged 84. In terms of leaders still with us from the major players in the 80s, there’s only really Joe Clark (16th Prime Minister of Canada) and Jimmy Carter left. Nobody from UK, France, Germany, Soviet Union, China, Australia, Japan etc.

    Alexey Navalny

On the BBC’s liveblog: - Navalny’s body being hidden. Penal colony says it went to the morgue. Morgue says they haven’t received any bodies from the penal colony. Authorities say they won’t release it until investigation complete, but nobody saying they have the body. - Navalny’s mother told he died of sudden death syndrome. Yet Russia still wanting to complete an investigation into the cause of death. Is this enough to now start tipping it to an unnatural death for DDP bonus?
  23. Labour withdraws support for Rochdale by-election candidate Azhar Ali. No new candidate given its after nomination deadline but he’s also suspended from the party. So he’ll be MP for a couple of months until the general whereby he’ll presumably be defenestrated in favour of someone who isn’t a raging antisemite.
