Would love to see Truss stuck in the bin. -
@YoungWillz, thanks for bumping this, I've spent an interesting 10 minutes reading about Sir Joh, who I've never heard of before.

I hadn't realised that Putin has been running the British government for 13 years. Explains a lot, really. -

I've realised that the reason I've heard a lot of these before is that I'm the right age to have been regularly exposed to episodes of Heartbeat, where the '60s lasted 18 years and every dramatic situation could be soundtracked with a suitably thematic song. -

I'm glad I'm not the only one re. Blue Moon! The other big scorer I don't understand the appeal of is the caterwauling of Good Timin'. -

@Joey Russ it's not a typo, the UK no.1 version was recorded by a Danny Williams. -

Can the next voter move John Leyton under Helen Shapiro? -
I hardly think a cheap drone that didn't even produce a decent explosion constituted an attempt on Putin's worthless life.

Walk Right Back was just instantly forgettable, Ebony Eyes actively bad. Double-A sides work both ways in terms of evaluating quality. -

04.05.23 39 Del Shannon — Runaway +3 38 Roy Orbison – Only The Lonely 34 The Shadows – Apache 32 Jimmy Jones – Good Timin’ 31 Helen Shapiro – Walkin´ Back To Happiness +1 31 Petula Clark – Sailor 30 The Marcels – Blue Moon 28 Shirley Bassey – Reach For The Stars/Climb Ev'ry Mountain 27 Elvis Presley – Are You Lonesome Tonight 26 Johnny Kidd & The Pirates – Shakin´ All Over 26 John Leyton – Johnny Remember Me 24 Helen Shapiro – You Don´t Know 23 Elvis Presley – It´s Now Or Never 21 The Everly Brothers – Temptation 21 Elvis Presley – (Marie’s The Name Of) His Latest Flame/Little Sister 20 Michael Holliday – Starry Eyed 20 Johnny Preston – Running Bear 20 Anthony Newley – Do You Mind 20 Cliff Richard & The Shadows – I Love You 20 Johnny Tillotson – Poetry In Motion 18 Eden Kane – Well I Ask You 16 The Temperance Seven – You´re Driving Me Crazy 16 Floyd Cramer – On The Rebound 16 Adam Faith – Poor Me 15 Elvis Presley – Surrender 14 The Shadows – Kon-Tiki 13 Eddie Cochran – Three Steps To Heaven -1 12 Danny Williams – Moon River 11 The Highwaymen – Michael 10 The Everly Brothers – Cathy´s Clown 06 Everly Brothers – Walk Right Back/Ebony Eyes -5 04 Frankie Vaughan – Tower Of Strength Faced with a sea of unfamiliarity, my downvoting strategy was to work my way up from the bottom and see what I also disliked. Ebony Eyes is a morbid tale of a plane crash, so no thanks. I only know Walkin’ Back to Happiness because it was used as incidental music on the Great British Sewing Bee, whose producers seem to love this era. One good thing about this era of music, the songs are short, so you can blast through them in no time! -

I'm guessing I won't be alone in listening to a lot of songs I've never heard of before to make an informed choice, but that's half the enjoyment. -
Pity it's utter shit, isn't it?

I was tempted to give No Doubt a leg-up, as it's the other one of the four I like, but we've just seen how quickly a healthy score can vanish. -

Given that an election is coming up very soon in Turkey, I'd retain some scepticism.
