For completeness, Topol played Milos Columbo in For Your Eyes Only. Roger's co-stars are definitely getting thinned out now. -
Sad to see a bit of '90s nostalgia gone. Had no idea she was that old. My child brain conflated her with Enya a bit. Spiritual/mystical/New Age women with black bobs.

Occurred to me that the famous names mentioned in Vogue would have actually been pretty good picks, should Madge have been into deathpooling. Over half of them were still alive when it was released on March 27th 1990. Greta Garbo was the first of those 'survivors' to go, dying on April 15th that same year, and Lauren Bacall was the last, managing another 24 years. Greta Garbo 1905-1990 Marilyn Monroe 1926-1962 Marlene Dietrich 1901-1992 Joe DiMaggio 1914-1999 Marlon Brando 1924-2004 James Dean 1931-1955 Grace Kelly 1929-1982 Jean Harlow 1911-1937 Gene Kelly 1912-1996 Fred Astaire 1899-1987 Ginger Rogers 1911-1995 Rita Hayworth 1918-1987 Lauren Bacall 1924-2014 Katharine Hepburn 1907-2003 Lana Turner 1921-1995 Bette Davis 1908-1989 -

I can't stand Queen, but for what it's worth, I think These Are The Days of Our Lives is a much better song than Innuendo. For a start it isn't over 6 minutes long, and it actually has memorable, meaningful lyrics and a cohesive structure. It doesn't deserve to be dragged down by the cynical marketing move of shackling it to the tedious, bloated, overplayed wedding disco song. -

I know her as one of the dwindling number of survivors from the all-star casts of Death on the Nile (1978) and Evil Under the Sun (1982). She's particularly good in the latter.

Do you mean 'in light of', given that in lieu means 'in place of/instead of'? And no, given the broad appeal you've just mentioned, I think there are plenty of existing threads she can go in.

I mean, of those left, Nena is the one who scored by far the most in the individual rounds, so I guess several of us are 'wrong'. -

I wonder if the format of this game means that, more often than not, you end up with compromise winners, i.e. nobody is really that into them but they'll tolerate them. Extreme likes and dislikes cancel each other out, and the middle of the pack survives. What is 'best' really depends on definition. From those left, Into the Groove is the one I enjoy listening to the most, but The Model is probably the most influential/significant. -
