    General Election 2024?

Worth pointing out that the Metro is a sister paper of the Daily Mail. Viscount Rothermere's free rag is hardly going to praise Labour.

    General Election 2024?

From the frequent updates of behind the scenes problems in the Popbitch newsletter, seems like it'll be pisspoor financial returns that threaten GB News more than the regulator. Talk TV was too much of a money pit even for Murdoch.

    Coin/Banknote Collecting

To combine Ethiopia and numismatics in a different way, here's Italian King Vittorio Emanuele III when he was also briefly Emperor of Ethiopia (1936-1941). Vittorio Emanuele himself was a passionate collector. His collection eventually numbered around 100,000 coins, and he catalogued them over a 30 year period in the 20 volume 'Corpus Nummorum Italicorum'. He was a founder and honorary president of the Italian Numismatic Society.

    5. Pope Francis

An organisation responsible for enormous levels of sexual abuse, run by officially celibate men who believe in virgin birth. Exactly the people we should listen to on the subject of sexual ethics.

    General Election 2024?

Notwithstanding the bias, I've never found Kuenssberg as unwatchable as most on here clearly do. I do however hate Jeremy Vine with the heat of a thousand suns, so that's me avoiding the BBC. Shame we can't airlift Curtice out of there, as he is well worth watching.

    5. Pope Francis

That's a rather bold assumption to make concerning the priesthood. Their numbers would be even lower if the church hadn't been an escape route from heteronormative societal pressures for thousands of closeted men.

    General Election 2024?

Is National Service 2.0 going to be Rishi's version of May's dementia tax? The one policy people can remember and it's half-baked and massively unpopular.

    Political Frailty

Sugar is too busy finding his next business partner from among Britain's brightest business brains. Does Archer still live in that hideous block of flats just upriver from Westminster? He could pop in during his lunch break if he wanted to retain his seat.

    Glaswegian Oompah-Loompah vibes.

    General Election 2024?

    You leave Colin Baker alone.
  11. It's the day after I return from my summer holiday, which saves me faffing around with a postal ballot.
  12. Rishi going on about people not knowing what Starmer stands for is a little risky. How many times has he reinvented himself?
  13. He's getting soaked too. All very fitting.
  14. Chicken and egg, is he calling it now because the letter numbers are approaching the trigger point?

    Crashing Companies

I quite like The News Agents, although at times they can come across as a bit smug. I do however fucking hate the theme tune, accompanied by Alexander Armstrong's pompous voice. Just one of those irrational things that gets under the skin.

Betty Driver Memorial Soapstar Superstar Thread

Anne Reid out with her friend Caroline Quentin at the Chelsea Flower Show. Anne pops up in Caroline's social media quite often, so a good means of keeping tabs on her.

Amazed that nobody has deployed the Jeremy Clarkson 'Oh no!' gif.

I always remember that one for Columbo driving off into the sunset playing the surprisingly catchy fake song.

    Francis Ford Coppola

Jon Voight very sharp and alert for someone who's absolutely crackers.

    Kevin Spacey

A long list? The article and the Telegraph one it basically copies both only mention five people wanting to die on this hill.

Looking at her Wiki, her late husband Leonard was the co-creator of the word game Mad Libs.

Nobody seems to mention the Lib Dems much these days, despite the Tories going down the drain and the growing interest in tactical voting. Reform seem to be the much more potent danger in the eyes of party and media.

Lt. Gruber may have been a hapless member of an army of occupation, but he was still far more competent and likeable than Hancock.

    British Character Actors

Fun Bernard Hill trivia: 'Hill has the distinction of being the only actor to have appeared in more than one film that won 11 Academy Awards, for his roles in The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and Titanic'.

@The Old Crem, you're always going on about Susan Hall. Let it go. You're never going to meet her.
