Bob Murdoch, a two-time Stanley Cup winner who played 757 games combined with the Montreal Canadiens, Los Angeles Kings and Atlanta/Calgary Flames, has died. He was 76. After his playing career, Murdoch became an assistant coach with the Flames for several years before taking on head coaching duties with the Chicago Black Hawks (now Blackhawks), and Winnipeg Jets. He was later an associate coach with the expansion San Jose Sharks.
