From Y-Dub's post above:  "Bay City Roller Alan Longmuir dies"

(Just so the name is searchable).  And yes, it is sad news.  Although.... that means he died on a M-O-N-D-A-Y morning.

Now he has a reason not to like Mondays.

. Gerrymandering and voting rights would have far more reaching implications than abortion. Civil rights, particularly with the law enforcement involvement lately, could reverberate far more than abortion. Personally, I'm more interested in preventing people from being killed for being black than I am for fighting for abortion rights, and I am not anti-abortion. Of course, I'm also not pro-abortion. It simply has never been my priority, and for anyone to assume all US women must be either for or against abortion, or are single issue voters, is a bit disingenuous and insulting.

I would've liked your post if it hadn't been for the part I just highlighted above. How are you walking away with the impression that cops are publicly executing black people when in reality blacks have killed more cops than cops killing blacks. And most of the incidents were often brought on by the criminal aggressors provoking the cops. What would you want the supreme court to do to prevent this? Rule that officers can't carry gun thus giving gangs, cartels and criminals in general a leg up over the police?

If Trump nominates another 40-something-year-old conservative, that doesn't have any extreme positions that would cause Collins and Murkowski to flip in the Senate confirmation vote, the court will be a 5-4 party line rubber stamp for Trump's GOP. Clarence Thomas isn't even 70 yet, it'll be decades before another conservative Justice retires or passes away.

Now, more than ever, women's health is in deep jeopardy. Roe V. Wade will be gone by June 2019 if a Trumpist is confirmed.

If this terrifies you, please email, call, and talk with Senators Lisa Murkowski, John McCain. Jeff Flake, Bob Corker, Susan Collins, and John Neely Kennedy, because once this nominee is confirmed, there's no going back, especially since Breyer and Ginsburg are aging and Trump has shots to replace them with conservatives.

No one is fucking touching Roe vs Wade. It is possible for a conservative to be pro abortion.

I listen to Radio 2s Steve Wright 'in the afternoon' show which is, basically, talk radio as the cunt talks over every fucking record intro he plays.

Why the fuck are you listening to them then. If I was listening to a radio and a DJ did that I would find out where they live and box their head in.

If only you were sexually abused, you won't say such a stupid comment.

That's something that could arguably be quantified in a rough and ready sort of way. Points allocated to each individual as to their 'fame quotient'. One could then ascribe bonuses for more famous in the UK (it's a uk based site) or for more famous with teens, or more famous with older than teens...or any other criteria everyone agreed on.

I have a few seconds before the next football game where my predict-a-score in another thread is plunging to new depths so lets see where that might take us:

Points I'd ascribe on a personal basis 1 to 10 for your list. (just mine, others can argue that's too biased, and it is. but we could as a site argue the merits on any individual and then come up with a consensus 'fame' score.

    Linda Nolan - 4

    Leah Bracknell - 2

    Peter Carrington - 2

    JPDC - 0

    Stirling Moss - 5

    Tessa Jowell - 4

    Prunella Scales - 5

    Leslie Phillips - 4

    Jill Gascoigne - 2

    Vera Lynn - 5

    Charles Aznavour - 6

    Honor Blackman - 7

    Stanley Baxter - 5

Valery Giscard Destaing (sp) - 7

    Mel Brooks - 8

    Neil Simon - 8

    June Brown - 3

    Dennis Norden - 4

    Ian St John - 3

    Jimmy Greaves - 4

    Clive James - 6

    Joni Mitchell - 7

    Gazza - 5

    Mark Smith - 4.

I've not allocated more than 5 to folks that are possibly unknown outside the uk, or more than 4 if they are only known for say a soap or as a politician, since they might be very famous in their own country but unheard of elsewhere. Thus to get over 5 the subject would have to be internationally known.

Incidentally, Abby Lee Miller would have to have a personal fame score of 2,200 for your assertion that she is 20 times more famous than the entirety in combination of others on the list :D.

Looks like someone has a bit too much free time on their hands.

Relevant?  Only to the lowest common denominator.

Like i said come off it its pretty easy to say people who are famous to you are relevant to the lowest common dominator. This is ingorance on your part becuase just becuase you don't like dance moms you dismiss its audience as the lowest common diaminator. The world doesn't rotate around you.

Well, I haven't and I've never heard of her.

I have heard of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma though because it killed my mother.  She got halfway through a course of chemotherapy at which point it seemed to have almost wiped out the lymphoma.  However it came back immediately and she was dead within two weeks.  So you never know.

She'll definitely get an obit in the UK as dance moms is an incredibly popular TV series in UK with viewing figures up to two million. Kinda of pig headed to think just because YOU'VE never heard that other people haven't as well.
