    King Charles III

What do you mean? That I'm not Jeremy or that I'm going to live another 20 years?
  2. Jeremy Corbyn

    King Charles III

You'll be waiting at least another 20 years

    1. Jimmy Carter

The man is clearly a legend (especially for his philanthropic work) and always will be, but this thread has become cluttered with inane rubbish in the last few months, most of which is completely off-topic and irrelevant to Jimmy's health. Plus I've no doubt he probably privately despises mangoes

    Disc Jockeys

I have a very bad feeling that it may not have been a natural death so to speak. I hope I'm wrong but a friend of mine who knew of Steve told me a good few years ago of his long battle with depression, which doesn't mean anything of course but it was the wording of the article that stated that paramedics were called to 'an incident' where they found him dead at home after sending numerous 'resources' out. I hope for his sake that it wasn't and was as peaceful as possible as he was a legendary and innovative broadcaster. Apparently a really nice person in real life too, RIP Steve

    Obviously still relatively well then

She was an incredibly pretty girl back in the day, shame she turned into a rabid right-wing racist

Still surprised he recieved an MBE considering he seems to have lurched further and further to the right over the years. Then again, looking at some of those who've been awarded a a knighthood

Who Should Be On The 2024 Deathlist

One of the most notable and longest-lived radio actresses in the UK, who spent 70 years playing a major character in the most-listened to radio soap opera of all time. She should definitely be included, and should probably have her own thread (not that I'm going to make one, I'd probably be chastised)

    The 100 Club

Is there any way we can access this?

    The 100 Club

Wondering the same. Didn't think the GRO Index had been updated yet even for 2022, never mind this year.

Haven't seen anything about him presenting a Christmas show on Boom this year yet.

    12. Dennis Skinner

Without knowing more information about his condition it's impossible to say. He could be in the early stages of the illness

    12. Dennis Skinner

Despite his illness, Dennis is such a strong and resilient character that I wouldn't be surprised if he made it into 2025. People suffering with dementia can sometimes last a while, and he's exactly the type you can imagine wanting to 'put up a fight' so to speak.

Very sad news about Dennis being unwell. A legend of politics and a principled honest man

Surely it won't be long now until the GRO index gets updated to include 2022

Could be his wife as she is also in poor health

    Steve Allen

Not a fan of starting new threads but I think this man is notable enough. He has presented on LBC for over 40 years and is well known for his early breakfast show where he chastises celebrities and rants on about life. A few years ago he had stents put in, but over the last year or two he has suffered from numerous health issues for which he has had to he hospitalised for. He's 67, has been off multiple times this year due to emergency procedures (sometimes announcing he was returning the next day and then pulling out just an hour before) and this is a man who never took one day off in about 10 years prior to that. He is back again now since 9th August but his illnesses seem to be getting more and more frequent. He was also a chainsmoker for many years until giving up when he had an angina attack... Maybe one to watch.

His health could be affected now he's 'left' LBC (meaning contract been terminated). It was very sudden, so may also be due to a health issue. 69 this month

    Kim Woodburn

Kim Woodburn will be 77 next March and has a terrible complexion recently. Add to that the fact that she must be under a considerable amount of stress since Coleen Nolan had a go at her on Loose Women a few weeks ago. I can't see her bowing out in the next year or so but she's worth keeping an eye on as she is nearly 80.

    14. James Whale

Any predictions on how long we reckon? A few weeks ago he seemed quite well considering and he was still on TalkTV this Saturday just gone so didn't think anything was imminent, but he does seem to have deteriorated quickly.

    André Maranne

No idea sorry, I do know they both passed away at home. Hope this helps

    André Maranne

Would have been around 1987/88 both were in their 60s then so amazing really that they both lived another 30 something years after that. Andre was in pretty good health too until a few months before he passed.

    André Maranne

She was definitely older than him, not sure exactly but I think she was around 97/98. I did indeed, he was with her on the same occasion. A lovely lovely man, very humble and down to earth. My friend knew them a lot better than me though as he lives two streets away from their home. Moira had a son from her first marriage and a few grandchildren I believe, but her only child with Andre died not long after being born tragically.

It's the Henry Kissinger song from Monty Python.
