I know him best from Apollo 13.

Norman Jewison is a hit for me, looks like I get the bonus for having nobody else pick him.

Is/was The Honeymooners popular in the UK?

This thread reminds me of the Ronnie Barker Spoonerisms sketch:
Wife: Would you mind Mia Farrow?
Spooner: Mia Farrow? What's she got to do with it?
Wife: No, I mean, Find me a Marrow.

I feel it's gonna be hard to top her as the choice for the last person memorialized in the "TCM Remembers 2024" video.

She's outlived all 4 of her ex-husbands and her only child in real life.

@Death Impends This article makes mention of her having performed in pantomime. Does that suffice for the pantomime bonus?

I guess she was the last surviving castmember of The Court Jester, right?

Judd Apatow has recently made a short film about Bob Newhart's and Don Rickles' friendship:

Usually when someones sub dies, I will tag them in the batch of deaths to say that their (first, second, third) sub has died. This is their chance to bring up if someone died and in practise you can give your reasoning on why they should be in your shadowlist rather than a sub.
I won't edit your list, I prefer to keep it exactly as you gave it to me.To give an option that you would probably prefer - If you would like for someone to be moved up and to avoid any further discussion with the sometimes difficult host of this pool, you can just respond with your full list with how you would like it to be amended (e.g. Shecky Greene was your 42nd pick, you want your first sub Donald Trump to replace them, you would put Donald Trump in their place and repost your list as a brand new comment)
There's nothing automatic about my system, it's very manual and I'm sure there's a much smarter way to run a pool than the way I'm doing it.
@John Key If it's not too late, I'd like to include Joan Ganz Cooney in my list since Shecky passed on 12/31. My updated list is as follows:
1) Jimmy Carter
2) Noam Chomsky
3) June Spencer
4) Bruce Willis
5) Lee Adams
6) Glynis Johns
7) Gene Hackman
8) Dick Van Dyke

Kinda wish Jim Lovell was there instead of Buzz Aldrin. And also wish David Attenborough was there.
Besides that, not a bad list.
