Ah, pleased to meet you! -
Oh oh.

To be fair, HW Bush should go here as well. He was decorated fighter pilot at the end of WWII. Respect.

Didn't think so, but that last post confused me.

Wait, so I'm out?

Peter Angelo's for me if I'm not too late.

According to the CDC- "Approximately one in four U.S. residents aged ≥65 years (older adults) report falling each year (2), and fall-related emergency department visits are estimated at approximately 3 million per year.* In 2016, a total of 29,668 U.S. residents aged ≥65 years died as the result of a fall (age-adjusted rate† = 61.6 per 100,000) " If my math is right, that means you have a 0.06% chance of dying from a fall if you are a senior. Actually seems pretty unnatural then when you look at it that way. Falls are common, actually dying due to it is very much not.
-
I agree falls are common, but then where do you draw the line? 65?80? Basically you are saying old age is a disease then.
-
Hey Banana. I'm fairly new here too, but I think any naturally occurring disease would not be considered an unnatural death. I believe this would also include things like lung cancer from smoking or asbestos exposure for example, or cirrhosis of the liver from alcoholism. Not sure about something like exposure to Ebola or something exotic like that, unless it was intentional (terrorism). But that would be so rare as to be infinitesimal in likelihood.

Fascinating. What would you say as a middle-aged Canadian male? -
How many posts does it take before someone recognizes sarcasm?

A well-known German base jumper has died during an attempted jump in Portugal, German media report. I don't understand why reporters keep getting this wrong. The jump was perfectly executed. It was the landing that was botched. -

Who Should Be On The 2019 Deathlist?
Skinny kiltrunner replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList Forum
Not to belabor a point, but I feel I must. Average lifespan following diagnosis is 5-7 years. Just as likely to last 10 years as 1. Not to say something else might not take him first, but I can't see him on the list on the basis of this alone. -
5. Dementia takes longer than you think. Way longer. Or is it shorter? Damn......
-
So I have to ask what everyone is thinking- if it's "nil by mouth", how do they get the tea in?
-
I had him in a pool last year, but dropped him this year as he seemed to be going so strong. Remained active right to the end.

Australian political cartoonist Larry Pickering, dead at 76, of lung cancer. Scratch that one off my short list. https://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/nation/cartoonist-larry-pickering-dies-aged-76/news-story/362277f02067b237f453984af8b5c23a

You guys are nowhere even close. Cain was killed at the age of 730, at the hands of his great, great grandson Lamech. Unfortunately, no QO, because Genesis doesn't qualify I don't think.
