Author Judith Kerr dies aged 95. RIP. (Mentioned in the Authors thread but getting enough coverage to deserve to be posted in here as well.)
-
Sad news - only 64/65 as well.

DL Status Updates: Statements, Obsevations & Verbal Tennis
The Old Crem replied to Lord Fellatio Nelson's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I think i will wait before I fiddle around with my Ipad time settings - I hope it is fixed before I have my summer holiday through. -
I think she is going to go before him - she always seems to having hospital worthy illnesses (Unlike Jimmy who gets the cancer and bad falls). She will be a bad miss if she dies this year but an humongous one if she is not added next year.

Even got a Mirror breaking news tweet this morning.

The fault is same here. On my Ipad through I cant access the site at all - I just get a failure to connect to the server message with no explanation or way to overrule it like I have done on firefox (I didn't think morning as I just thought it was a short term fault with the server or something.) -
I take that as ominous - Eugenie was an extended relative but Gabriella is her niece and I believe the Kent's are close. She needs to be considered for next's year list.

For Completion adding Nan Winton and Niki Lauda's deaths to the topic.

dead Prince Philip Duke Of Edinburgh

He does look well. No appearance as Far as I can see of the Duchess of Kent (the Bride's aunt.). Perhaps someone for the committee to take notice off. -
Glynis Johns would be a good addition - Send in the coffin is such a good possible headline.

In terms of Uk coverage it will go Vera, Kirk, Olivia. Kirk the biggest worldwide but Vera' will see huge coverage here in the UK. I know someone born on the same day as Carol Channing and is still alive (But tired of living).
-
Wow, Didn't expect a third hit this week. Didn't get a breaking news tweet from any of the breaking news accounts of BBC, Sky News, LBC or the Mirror. I wonder who else on the list wouldn't get at least one of them.
-
Still Vera.
-
If Norman Foster is still around in 10 years once he turns 93 or so he might be someone who could make the main list.

Thoughts and opinions on the death list 2019
The Old Crem replied to The Mad Hatter's topic in DeathList Forum
The Coverage of Doris's death has probably proved your point. I can't see Olivia when she sadly goes being the top story on the BBC News. Vera Lynn will through unless they is a big story that day (And Vera may well get full pages front covers.) -
Was Doris Day one of the biggest absences from the AFI greatest list - she was eligible as her career started before 1950.
-
Finally catching up with the interview he gave to the BBC in tribute to Doris Day. Sounds well and says he wont give up performing and hopes he lives to at least 97.
-
Sticking with Vera. Have a feeling she will go around the time of the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

Jimmy Carter has been released from hospital.

With Bob Hawke's death it is time to close this thread and launch the guessing game for the fourth death of the year.

RIP Bob Hawke.
