    David Jason

I feel like Jason’s reputation has gone down considerably in the last ten years. Is it just me and my social circles? I only ever hear people saying negative things about the man every time he’s in the media. People seem to think he’s this whining old fossil now and they also think he’s “dodgy”. A mate of mine suggested recently that OFAH is starting to fade from public consciousness and it does seem that way.

    Randy Newman

I was going to nominate him for next year too, considering how quiet he’s gone. Good that he’s well enough to do a phoner but I still think we’ll probably not see him on stage again.

    Bobbie Gentry

I think it is likely her death will be reported sometime after she dies, yes.

    Dying Off The Radar

Anyone know if Anne Wakefield is still with us? She's an actress born 1931; she had a few film and TV bit parts in the UK and later the US, playing William Hartnell's daughter in an episode of Ghost Squad and one of the nuns opposite Debbie Reynolds in The Singing Nun. Not likely to obit anywhere really.

    Curse Of The Eurovision

Sad news. I’m surprised it was him first, to be frank. When BOM retired a few years ago, I assumed it was down to Lee Sheriden as he seemed frail.

    Maggie Smith

It’s quite surprising Petula has never become a dame. I hope it can happen, if only so we might see her out and about again - she’s gone quiet.

You still overreacted. I’m just trying to say there’s no need.

    Dying Off The Radar

Maybe it’s uninteresting to you, but one person’s random boring death is another’s death worth noting. Is this kind of thing not what this thread is *for*?

I don’t think “to be amended on IMDB” reads like a request at all.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2025

Anyone heard of Robert Eddison before? He’s an author who specialises in language apparently and once interviewed Margaret Thatcher for the Times. I came across him on Instagram doing sorta self-help themed videos. He claims to be 90 and looks very good for it, though he’s definitely had a facelift or three. He doesn’t seem all that notable but I’m more curious about what this guy has been up to for the last 70 years.

    The Welsh

Dewi Pws was a proper all-rounder and very well-known in Welsh-speaking Wales. He fronted y Tebot Piws, a quirky group whose EP releases (1970-72) are quite sought after today, and then was in the rock band Edward H. Dafis who were very very popular and never forgiven when they broke up. He was also part of the bizarre mid-70s kids show Miri Mawr and of course a very positive campaigner for the Welsh language. A real loss.

All good shouts. On a similar tack, Buddy Guy turns 88 in a few days and retired from touring this year. Strikes me as a big enough name for the DL.

Very good calls Arghton. Is Yoko Ono having lewy body dementia confirmed? Sounds correct but I hadn’t heard this.

    Dead Pop Stars

Aw, I’m gutted I missed seeing him. Truly the end of an era!

    Dead Pop Stars

I am gutted about this. I saw the Zombies only in June and they were still phenomenal. The finest live act of all the remaining 60s veterans.

    48. Tom Baker

Lots of pictures on Twitter from Tom’s first “meet and greet” event in years yesterday.

    3. Pete Murray

Anyone know if he did appear at this in the end?

    Dead Pop Stars

Gutted about this. Saw the Zombies only last month and he was on absolutely fantastic form. Both him and Blunstone had not lost it one bit - so unusual for guys from the 60s. I expect Blunstone won’t continue as the Zombies now. Really sad.

    The Beatles Death Curse

Longtime Beatles associate Tony Bramwell reported dead at 78. He grew up with three of the Beatles in Liverpool, worked for them at NEMS and later Apple Corps and directed the “Lady Madonna” promo clip. Quite a prominent figure in the world of Beatles conventions and the like. Apparently he had dementia.
  20. TheKeysOfMarinus

    Kevin Spacey

To demand he be allowed to resume his Hollywood acting career is a bit ridiculous. If Hollywood studios don’t want him and movie goers don’t wanna see him, that’s up to them - it’s not his god-given right to be in Hollywood movies. You can’t foist him on a public and industry who aren’t interested in entertaining him and his narcissistic schtick

    Dying Off The Radar

Anyone know what happened to British film and TV actor Fred Evans? Appeared in a lot of bit parts (The Avengers, Minder, Bergerac, Jeeves and Wooster); he’s a scene stealer as a policeman in Mr. Horatio Knibbles. I imagine he’s long dead but can’t find a date anywhere.

    The Beatles Death Curse

Whoops - it’s all on his wife’s FB page.

    The Beatles Death Curse

That’s a shame. Incidentally, Len Garry, another former Quarryman, is currently hospitalised and in poor health
