    Non-British Royals

Prince Hitachi was apparently unable to attend the re-opening of Tokyo Equestrian Park this month. His wife (Hanako, Princess Hitachi) was there and looked quite good for someone who's had some health troubles in the past: (And that's Sen Sōshitsu XV, 100, behind her)

    Hospitalised!

Well...suggestions: Yury Solomin who I mentioned last week in Foreign Personalities is critical again, might be a good addition as he apparently just won't die. 93-year-old Greek national football team player Kostas Nestoridis hospitalised following fall, and has been very ill for years. Tep Vong, Cambodia's greatest religious leader, apparently hospitalised (again).

    Martti Ahtisaari

Thread for discussion about Martti Ahtisaari, former Finnish president (1994-2000), peace negotiator and global elder emeritus. Ahtisaari is overweight and recently survived COVID-19. He or his wife Eeva have not been seen in public much since that. He's one of the five global elder emeriti along with Jimmy Carter, Desmond Tutu, Fernando Cardoso and Ela Bhatt.

    Martti Ahtisaari

Images from the funeral Hage Geingob, President of Namibia (82) Eeva Ahtisaari (87) Jakaya Kikwete, former President of Tanzania (73) Carl Gustaf XVI King of Sweden (77) Edit: Oh, and of course Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland (79) there too. Standing: Tellervo Koivisto (94, former first lady and widow of Mauno Koivisto) Ahtisaari's successor Halonen (not pictured) looked quite doddery there. I'm suprised Tellervo Koivisto attended as I recall she had a bad fall some years ago. Aceh rebel leader Malik Mahmud (84) was also there.

    From Cleric To Relic

Grand Ayatollah Abbas "seriously ill in 2016" Mahfouzi's wife has died. Condolence messages sent by Ayatollahs Makarem Shirazi, Shubairi Zanjani, Khamenei etc, Mahfouzi looked fine at the funeral. 96-year-old Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati's second wife also died this week.

    Hospitalised!

Zubeen Garg apparently hospitalised in ICU/MICU again following a fall, stable. Very prone to falls for someone who is 50 years old, seems like this is the third or fourth time this has happened. Soviet film and stage actress Raisa Maksimova, 94, reportedly hospitalised and suffers from a severe bone marrow condition that has required monthly blood transfusions(?) Some rumors going around that the Nikolay Drozdov is hospitalised for weakness due to cancer treatments.

    Advent game 2023

Advent Avalanche Form Guide #8 Jayapataka Swami His Holiness Jayapataka Swami is the highest-ranking leader of controversial Hindu religious organization ISKCON. Born Gordon John Erdman II into an upper-class family in Milwaukee in 1949, he joined newly-founded ISKCON in the late 1960s around the same time George Harrison started funding the growing organization. Jayapataka, quite soon after joining, became one of the highest Swamis. The founding guru died in 1977, leaving Jayapataka and other still very young gurus to lead ISKCON. Some of them died, others were kicked out leading to Jayapataka becoming the "guru in charge" of ISKCON. In October 2008 he suffered a massive brain stem stroke, putting him into coma and "very critical" conditions for weeks or months. Since then his health has been quite bad, or as ISKCON says, "compromised": Already before his stroke he had cirrhosis (apparent complication from a blood transfusion in 1989 following an attack on a Madrid airport) finally leading to liver & kidney failure some years later. Skipping the waitlist he got new kidneys and a new liver in 2018 but as usual that didn't help much. He's been hospitalised a number of times since with heart problems, kidney problems, pneumonia, leg infections, covid, blood clots, skin cancer, UTIs, an "extended spectrum multi-resistant bacteria", pulmonary edema, ascites, skin lesions, trachea compression and other ailments, while he's survived his previous illnesses very well, this year he seems to have had more ailments than in the past ten combined. He's been in hospital twice within the last month and dedicated, educated ambulance chasers/corpse hounds know that pulmonary edema tends to return, and while he's a Swami, he's only half-Indian. He also looks like what I'd imagine the drowned ocean corpse version of Chef Tony would look like.

    Deathrace 2024

Deathrace Form Guide #7 Sigurður Hjartarson World-renowned educator, inventor, museum curator and phallus collector Sigurður Hjartarson (if you've ever watched "The Final Member", or you are or ever have been into for example those Ripley's Believe It or Not books or "Weird Facts" Facebook/YouTube/Instagram accounts, you might've heard the name before) is somewhere in his eighties and has been retired for around a decade now. I can't name any self-proclaimed phallologist who's made it to such a great old age, you might want to erect him on your Deathrace team...

Foreign Personalities, From Stage, Screen, Politics And Life

Yury Solomin hospitalised in unconscious and serious state, likely following a massive stroke and fall. Solomin has been very ill for some years (heart surgeries, diabetes complications, appendicitis, gallbladder surgery, serious conditions in 2019 and rough covid in 2021) seems like this is his time.

    The 2024 Crowdsourced Deathlist

Crowdsource Form Guide #4 Violeta Chamorro The former Nicaraguan President is now 94 years old and has long suffered from brain tumors, advanced dementia and has for the last year or two been in 24/7 care in a "delicate but stable" state. Might be a time for her to make a return on the Crowdsourced Deathlist (if the voters of the Deathlist forums so decide).
