This was his "masterpiece" Beautiful all of it but especially whatever happens at 1:27:55 and 2:29:03. "This is Cinema" as Scorsese would say.

Mexican politician Francisco Luna Kan, former Governor of Yucatán, dead at 97 following brief illness.
-
Mitta suffering from fluid in lungs but apparently not in ICU. Still in "moderate condition", apparently heavy cognitive decline. Kostas Nestoridis dischargoridis.

György Kurtág is one too. The Guardian published an interview with him in August where he says his "greatest desire is to lay next to Márta" (his wife, who died in 2019). He's still quite sharp but now 97 years old, completely wheelchairbound and I recall he's battled some ailments during the last five years.

Carter personal doctor interview. The "interesting stuff" in it copypasted: . he’s now focused on President Jimmy Carter’s health. . “I’m sure he’ll try to work through this, but it’s such a big loss for him,” he said. . Raines said he fears Jimmy may not have the same drive to keep fighting during his time in hospice care. + (mentions the "dying of broken heart" possibility) On Rosalynn: . Raines was the one who made the call for Jimmy Carter to go into hospice care in February. On Friday, he made the same call for Rosalynn Carter but was not expecting her to pass away so soon even though she was diagnosed with dementia six months ago.

Kong Nay (Cambodia's very own Ray Charles) has again been "very ill" for around a month now with diabetes complications and a "lung disease" Kostas Nestoridis dea...nope, improving well and newest facebook posts say he'll be discharged tomorrow.

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
arghton replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Not sure how I got here but I've been listening to semi-obscure calypso/soca artists recently. Yes, I don't understand half of it. The second guy (Lord Nelson) is still apparently alive and occasionally performing. -
Colin Jeavons please.

Some I don't think have been mentioned yet: Lynne Reid Banks (95 next year, maybe a "cult pick" but apparent occasional health problems and didn't even make a birthday appearance this year) Ali al-Sistani (Even though he's only the second-most known ayatollah in the world, he'd be a much better pick (than Khamenei). In his 90s and suffering from heart problems for decades) Frank Field Manmohan Singh (92 next year, former Prime Minister of India, massive health troubles in recent years, seemed very close to death when he had dengue two years ago. Quintuple bypass in 2009 and given ten years to live back then. On borrowed time) Sidney Cooke (97 next year with health history) Tom Lehrer Shridath Ramphal (He's never going to be picked, but Commonwealth Sec-Gen with health history, 96 next year) Yayoi Kusama (Goes into the cult pick territory again, but dementia sufferer and 95 next year) Former King of Belgium (health problems) Amartya Sen (health rumors, multiple time cancer survivor, looked 20 years older month ago) Strongly agree especially with Tom Baker, Rupert Murdoch, Lovell, William Russell, Oganessian. Edit: Russ Tamblyn's maybe a possibility too. I recall he's been mentioned here multiple times in the past due to some health issues.

Imelda Marcos attended some event a week or two ago with seemingly swollen hands (there's pictures somewhere on facebook). Wouldn't be suprised if she'll die relatively suddenly considering her heart problems. She's also known to eat massive meals defying doctors orders. Pete Murray's one not mentioned yet. I think he looked very frail in December 2022 and it's been nearly a year. I'm not completely sure but I don't think he's been seen or heard of much since?

Good old Erwin Schild again please.
-
Kostas Nestoridis was discharged some days ago, re-hospitalised yesterday due to "minor health issue" and now sedated in difficult conditions. Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega discharged in good condition.
-
Rest in Peace. Now I'm completely sure Jimmy won't make it to 2034. Edit: Or, even if he does, he won't make it to 2035.
-
Back on usual nasal cannula but there seems to also be some red tube going down (maybe a G-tube?) and he really doesn't look any healthier.

Finally! I wasn't aware Chanmyay Sayadaw was still making appearances (I've considered him one of those who could die off-radar, I don't really know much about the guy). From the elderly Buddhist leaders I've listed Bangladeshi "highest guru" Gyanashree Mahathero (98) has been on and off IV meds with god knows what since May or June, bedbound and treated at home and Bhaddanta Āciṇṇa (89) recently had a heart surgery and has overall been in bad health for many years. Surai Sasai (88) was "very critical on ventilator" in 2014 and already back then suffering from some "prolonged illness". Well, he's still alive and that illness must be extremely prolonged by now as while he walks around and is still quite active he looks more and more like a mummified corpse each year.

Shi Wen-long, Taiwan billionaire, founder of Chi Mei Corporation and the Chimei Museum, dead at 95.

My pick Daisaku Ikeda is dead but I'd need another to get into the current top 10.

Advent Avalanche Form Guide #15 Biljana Plavšić There are many women named Biljana in Slavic countries. You might've seen some of them in those "Meet the woman of your dreams" ads on shady download sites, crappy ad-filled celebrity gossip internet forums, the Daily Mail website etc. However, not many Biljanas are 93, notable, in failing health and convicted war criminals. If you're thinking of picking a Biljana here, she might turn out to be the woman of your dreams.

Chinese politician, former head of the "Cadre Review Bureau", delegate at multiple National Congresses and deputy He Zai (zh wiki) apparently very close to Xi Jinping (for which he received the Reform Pioneer Medal from the central committee in 2018), prematurely dead at 104. He'd been undergoing "ministerial-level treatment" (正部級待遇) since 2015. Edit: Also, Wu Bo, Chinese "revolutionary cadre" and once wife of Marshal Ye Jianying who overthrew Madame Mao and the Gang of Four prematurely dead at 106. Is there a power outage at the Beijing 301 Hospital?

Roger Donlon went into hospice in August but...well enough to attend a veterans day parade last week. Browsing around that site there's also a mention of John J. Duffy having been in ICU following a stroke in March.

Shecky Greene has recently had a fall (from the 5th of Nov)
-
Nine days ago he wasn't even on oxygen, on Sunday he had a nasal cannula and now it seems he's on some kind of BiPAP or high flow oxygen. Sharp decline in a relatively short time.

Big update on those folks: Thanga Darlong improving. Medical team being formed. Tep Vong discharged and back at pagoda. Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega improving in ICU, but has a very swollen face, fractured ribs, UTI, intracranial hemorrhage and according to son lucky to be alive. Alexander Mitta back in ICU with pneumonia. Yury Solomin back in critical condition with bilateral pneumonia.

Valentina Shulgina, last woman who fought in the Battle of Stalingrad, reported dead on Xwitter by "The Communists". Apparently also the last WWII veteran in Abkhazia.

Prince Hitachi was apparently unable to attend the re-opening of Tokyo Equestrian Park this month. His wife (Hanako, Princess Hitachi) was there and looked quite good for someone who's had some health troubles in the past: (And that's Sen Sōshitsu XV, 100, behind her)
