Didn't see him at DoE's funeral, or he wasn't shown on television. He did attend it though?

    Jim Davis

I was suprised this old bastard didn't have a thread. Davis created Garfield in 1978. They've made five movies, multiple tv series, tens of games, tons of tv specials, books and a ton of plastic merch of this lasagna-eating, food obsessed manipulative cat. Garfield makes around 750 million to 1 billion to the people who own it each year. Jim Davis, the creator of Garfield was born on the 28th of June 1945 in Indiana, USA. Prior to creating Garfield, he was an assistant to Tom Ryan (1926-2019) the creator of comic strip Tumbleweeds. Davis first tried to get fame in 1973 with the comic strip "Gnorm Gnat" where the characters were insects, however a few years later in 1976 started drawing "Jon". Jon was based on Davis and had a cat. In 1978 Davis started drawing Garfield, that focused more on Jon's cat Garfield. Garfield was very successful as we all know. Davis still draws Garfield on a graphics tablet, but has sold it to ViacomCBS and has been auctioning old hand-painted Garfields. And he looks atleast ten years older than what he is.

Heritage Auctions Interview 3.4.2021 Looks different than in the last video but that may be caused by the different lighting Talks and moves like a man his age but if I didn't know who Jim Davis was and would be shown a picture of this man and asked what his age would be, I'd say something between 85 and 95

    Read Any Good Books Lately?

Juice Leskinen's 2014 biography. A very interesting personality, he was a singer-songwriter from the 70s to the early 2000s and is now called the father of Finnish rock and pop music. Like a ton of other musicians who gained fame suddenly he had problems with tobacco and alcohol: liver cirrhosis in 1989, diabetes, depression, kidney problems. He died in November 2006 at the age of 56 after refusing to go to his dialysis treatment. Picture from late 2006:

    People who've got a thread

A while ago there were seven threads that'll be 18 this year (made in 2003), with the subject is still alive. Now, after the death of Phil, there's only 6: Robert De Niro (born 1943) Oldest but healthiest? Richard O'Sullivan (born 1944) Suffered a stroke in 2003, doesn't seem to be in a bad condition. Robbie Coltrane (born 1950) Has and has had health issues for a long time, was in a wheelchair in 2019 (is he still?) Sharon Osbourne (born 1952) Has had cancers and other health problems Tony Blair (born 1953) Looks a few years older than what he is, not known to have bad health problems. Shane MacGowan (born 1957) Current deathlister. Seems to have been in failing health for years.
