    Who are the immortals?

Zhang Lixiong was visited some days ago (possibly on Monday), seems like his condition is pretty much the same after more than five months in ICU: However I would still be very suprised if he made it to his 110th. Edit: Apparently "ministerial-level care" that he, other generals and ministers receive means that he has a medical team of up to 25+ people caring him 24/7. There's also "cadre-level care" that's not as "extreme" that for example Feng Zigen is getting.

Namibian Lt. Gen and Chief of Defence 2000-2006 Solomon Huwala or Hawala, called "Butcher of Lubango" for running detainee camps during the South African Border War and executing opponents of SWAPO, hospitalised. "Stable" (of course)

    Who are the immortals?

Here's a video of him being discharged. Meanwhile Buthelezi who was "fighting for his life in ICU" a week ago, is now "doing well".

    Princess Bajrakitiyabha of Thailand

The King seems to be quite disliked, I guess making the estranged son (who might've lived a somewhat normal life) his heir would be an attempt to save the monarchy? Prince Dipangkorn (the youngest son) is said to have an intellectual disability. There's going to be a lot of Thai royals dying the next few years. Half of them seem very ill...

    1. Jimmy Carter

Grandson interviewed. (After your elimination, you gave a very moving speech about your grandfather, revealing to the group that he'd recently been put in hospice care. Have you been able to visit him since filming?) It's been harder and harder to see him. My mom spends a lot of her time with him. She spends almost half her time taking care of him at this point just because of things like COVID regulations. So it's really family oriented. I haven't been seeing him as much recently, but he knows that I love him and we're supporting him through this time. (How is he doing?) He's pretty sick. He still does use his brain. He listens to audiobooks. He's a genius. He's super smart. I love him. He always wants to be doing something with his mind, so he's trying to keep himself busy, but he is really sick and getting older. (It was also made public since the show that your grandmother, Rosalynn Carter, has been battling dementia. How is she doing?) I just want to say that she's an amazing woman. She's put in so much work in her life. She's done things for mental health. I want everyone to know how incredibly important and beautiful she is as a person and a grandma. Yeah, she does have dementia and when I see her, she does forget what's going on sometimes, but when she remembers it's amazing. I love her.

    Alberto Fujimori

Apparently pictured walking without a wheelchair. Edit: There are videos of it on youtube. He seems a bit weak/slow, but otherwise fine for 85 and I doubt he's on oxygen there.

    From Cleric To Relic

Ayatollah Muhammad Taqi Majlesi Isfahani (the by far least notable person on that list with Mujtahidi Najafi) apparently died in May at around 92. Not to be confused with Ayatollah Hossein Mazaheri Isfahani, born 1933, who was a DDP pick in 2021. Leaves three ayatollahs born in 1930 - al-Qazwini has been in ill health for a while, al-Sistani (most notable Shia leader living) has been suffering from severe heart problems for atleast two decades and al-Fayadh was dying in 2021.

    Celebrity Chefs

Malaysian "celebrity superstar" (and chef) Chef Wan (65) diagnosed with lymphoma, but apparently discovered early. Quote from the article: “My doctor said that I will start to lose my hair (omg i can start already imagining myself in different fabulous wigs after this treatment, Elvis, M. Daud Kilau style, Samy Velu, Liberace and many more! It will be so funny).”

    Who are the immortals?

Here's a "recap" who there has been in addition to Krasko since December: 1. Bedros Kirkorov (1932) History of heart problems, a-fib, in ICU with congestive heart failure in April 2022, hospitalised with massive heart problems and in ICU in November 2022 and underwent emergency heart surgery and pacemaker implantation, again in ICU with pneumothorax and pneumonia combination in December 2022 that he was not expected to survive, hospitalised in January with pneumonia and complications of angina pectoris, heart failure and CAD. Again in hospital in July. 2. Nikolay Drozdov (1937) Recently he's been hospitalised atleast two times after breaking multiple of his ribs and last month he was very ill and in ICU with an intestinal infection, kidney cysts and everything else. He of course survived and was discharged more than a week ahead of schedule. 3. Leonid Roshal (1933) Suffers from parkinson's and brain tumors, hospitalised in ICU in critical condition in February after a severe fall, apparently recovered in a few weeks. 4. Alexander Mitta (1933) Serious covid in March, in ICU, serious condition after suffering a severe stroke in July. 5. Gleb Panfilov (1934-2023) Widowed in January, fighting for his life after suffering a major stroke (+ pneumonia) in May. Spent more than a month in ICU and still hasn't been discharged, but was already "in good health" in July. 6. Larisa Latynina (1934) Hospitalised in January with a heart attack as a complication from a stroke. Of course it apparently wasn't enough. 7. Lidiya Fedoseyeva-Shukshina (1938) Very ill for the last ten years with heart failure, "acute heart attack" in 2019, hospitalised in unstable condition, ICU in June after suffering a stroke and discharged a month later. 8. Igor Yasulovich (1941-2023) In coma, ventilator, ICU with acute kidney failure and hydronephrosis in July, "recovering" in August. 9. Nikolai Trubin (1931) Last Soviet Procurator General. Obese and falsely said to have died in 1996, hospitalised last month with massive heart problems, probably discharged by now.

Saalumarada Thimmakka hospitalised after falling in the bathroom, but "only suffered a mild bone injury" and recovering (what else did you expect, she's only around 95!)

    Sheikh Down

Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani, Qatari royal, politician (former Minister of Education and Culture), MBHHC chairman and ambassador dead at 93/94. Apparently both the uncle and father-in-law of previos emir Hamad bin Khalifa. Leaves Sheikh Salem Al-Ali of Kuwait the last (or last notable) royal of the Arabian Peninsula born in the 1920s.

    Hospitalised!

Ivan Krasko discharged from the stroke rehab centre...and says he's in good health. I can't find any proper additions. Apparently Sergio Corona has been discharged and David Levy, Israeli former deputy prime minister who was hospitalised last week in ICU with heart failure and pneumonia, has also just been discharged.

    Who are the immortals?

Some not mentioned yet... Le Duc Anh 1920-2019: He had two massive strokes in the 1990s, allegedly he was very near death both times. 20 years later he suffered a massive stroke at around 97 and was in critical condition, but lived another year. The sri sri sri shivakumara guy, can't remember his name or ailments at the moment. Münir Özkul 1925-2018: Suffered from COPD and dementia for two decades before his death and called "male version of Zsa Zsa Gabor" on this forum in 2015. Bob Dole. Balbir Singh Sr. Sumner Redstone. Li Rui. Satya Mohan Joshi. Saleh Ajeery. Stanley Ho 1921-2020: Fall and brain surgery in 2009 and later suffered a severe stroke. Kept alive for years on dialysis with kidney failure, dementia and parkinson's and his heart stopped atleast once during treatment. To me the "top" immortals living currently on the list (in addition to Carter, Bhuddhadeb, Chamorro and Woodward) are Bob Barker who's had strokes, falls, heart surgeries, cancers etc, Tin Oo who has been ill for a decade, survived a massive stroke in 2017 and was on oxygen with covid last year, VS Achuthanandan who has survived organ failures atleast two times and had a severe stroke at 95 and survived covid last year, Ma Shitu who was "terminally ill" in 2004 and survived lung cancer at around 105, Khamtai Siphandone who's been ill for decades and wasn't expected to survive a massive stroke he had in 2016, Saalumarada Thimmakka who's suffered from COPD for over 12 years, broken hip and other health complications and was in hospital nearly every year between 2012 and 2021, Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah who has been obese his whole life, had a tracheotomy in 2007 due to gastrointestinal perforation complications, hypoxia and a cardiac arrest and spent more than two years in hospital since and has been in and out of hospital since and in critical conditions atleast twice and now also Zhang Lixiong who survived being shot a number of times during the long march, was "comatose" in 1936, has been suffering from dementia for atleast five years, spent a year in hospital with a serious illness around 2020-2022 and was in ICU in March. Maybe Henry Kissinger too considering he's had a lot of heart troubles including triple bypass in 1983, heart attack in 2000 and other heart surgeries in 2005, 2009 and 2014. And last but not least...Mahathir Mohamad. He has a long and complicated health history as far as I know starting from a heart attack and bypass surgery in 1989. He was in ICU for a month with massive heart problems and pneumonia in 2007 and had suffered two heart attacks the year before. And he was at the verge of dying around January 2022. However he's very different to all the ones mentioned before as he's 98 and still able to regularly attend events and walk without aid despite all his health troubles. Here are the upcoming birthdays of August and September. Who won't make it? 9 August - Mario Zagallo (92) 12 August - Queen Sirikit (91) 27 August - Mangosuthu Buthelezi (95) 29 August - Ashi Tashi Dorji (100) ? August - Wang Hanbin (98) 1 September - Seiji Ozawa (88) 3 September - Paulo Maluf (92) 17 September - Francesco Merloni (98) October seems to have more immortal birthdays than any other month, so I won't add it here. Many of them will be dead by then.
