I checked and he isn't on drol's Immortalsl list. However if he was, he'd still be at 86 quite a "youngster" there considering only a handful of them are under 87 (excluding the doge, there's Fujimori, Comical Ali, Yu Miu-Lin, Joseph Estrada, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, Nritya Gopal Das and Superstar Billy)

Pekka Vennamo, 78, Finnish former member of parliament, minister and former Chairman of the populist Finnish Rural Party says he had a bad covid that required eight months of hospitalisation, some of that he was in "very serious condition" and three months of rehabilitation.

Emir Nawaf, ruler of Kuwait had another (according to flight info on twitter two-week long) private visit to Italy last month. I wonder how long this will continue, how many more "private visits"...

Kpatcha Gnassingbé, son of Togo's insane dictator Gnassingbé Eyadéma and half-brother of current slightly less insane dictator Faure Gnassingbé, hospitalised in Gabon. -
Martti J. Kari picked here is (suprisingly) now conscious and tweeting again, but nobody seems to know his current condition and he's still in hospital. I think there's still a strong chance he won't make it to May, but we'll see.

Names for pools, some notable, some not. Paul Brooke (1944) British wonky-eyed actor known from...For Your Eyes Only, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Scandal, Oliver Twist etc. He's never looked like the picture of health, only mentioned here once before by me over a year ago. Shridath Ramphal (1928) former Commonwealth Secretary-General in failing health with hospitalisations around 2015 but seemingly bounced back, but hasn't made any public appearances recently as far as I know. Vil Mirzayanov (1935) Russian-born inventor of Novichok, one of Putin's favourite ingredients in making a cup of tea. Stage IV cancer in 2018, but last time mentioned here in 2020. Jhala Nath Khanal (1950), Sharad Pawar (1940), Nritya Gopal Das (1938), Juhani Palmu (1944), Victoria Brownworth (1959/1960) and radio broadcaster Alan Jones (1941/1943) have all survived a hilariously large amount of illnesses that should've killed them atleast three times. Sita Dahal (?) Wife of Nepal's current Prime Minister, suffers from PSP. God knows how many "critical condition" hospitalisations she has had. Bernadette Thompson (1910), Evadney Talbot (1912), Leonid Lazarevich Skvortsov (1916), Ilie Ciocan (1913), Mabel Mah (1910) Nowhere notable but they're extremely old people and all of them look extremely old. Stuart Kuttner (1939/1940) Heart attacks, strokes, very ill around 2015. Not mentioned here in a while. Tony Quan aka. Tempt One (1969?) What happened to this guy? He was bedbound and unable to move anything but his eyes due to ALS and complications (locked-in syndrome) over a decade ago when he had his 15 minutes of fame mostly due to EyeWriter, an eye-tracking system designed for him so that he can continue doing graffitis. Yet everything points to him still being alive against the odds and his social media accounts are still posting, but never giving health updates. Khaleda Zia (1945), Alberto Fujimori (1938), Ernest Saunders (1935), Paulo Maluf (1931), SuperBilly Graham (1943) In the end nobody is immortal, not even health fraudsters. Friedrich Wolff (1922) Ancient German defence lawyer of ancient commies, Honecker, Modrow, Krenz and others. Still active around his 100th, but that was ten months ago and he's 100. Eusi Kwayana (1925) Decrepit Guyanese-American Pan-Africanist marxist. Widowed in 2017 and 98 today. Abu Ubaidah Youssef al-Annabi (1969), Saif al-Adel (1960/1963), Abu al-Hussein al-Husseini al-Qurashi (?-2023) and Iyad Ag Ghaly (1954) Some of the current leaders of the largest terrorist groups. Won't die peaceful deaths. Denis Pushilin (1981), Leonid Pasechnik (1970), Yevgeny Prigozhin (1961), Vladimir Saldo (1956), Galina Danilchenko (1964) and Igor Girkin (1970) Some of these people will be dead when the Russo-Ukrainian War ends, no matter what's the result. Or atleast most of them won't have long and healthy lives. Rodolfo Stange (1925), Santiago Sinclair (1927) and Jorge Lucar (1934) Last members of Pinochet's Military Junta. Alfredo Astiz (1951) Argentine military officer who worked for Videla's dictatorship as a torturer. Had or "had" pancreatic cancer in 2004 and has reportedly had terminal prostate cancer since around 2018 that is hopefully killing him slowly. Mengistu (1937) Continuing with monsters, Ethiopia's cold war-era dictator who killed millions and allegedly personally murdered Haile Selassie. Has had medical trips abroad in the past and hopefully won't live to his nineties like Mugabe and others. Najah al-Attar (1933) Bashar al-Assad's Vice President, rumored to be in frail health. His brother Issam al-Attar (1927) is an anti-Assad symbol, slightly different career paths. Paavo Lipponen (1941) Had seven heart surgeries the same year around five years ago, how's he still alive? Now says his memory is failing. Ki Ha Rhee (1938) Introduced Taekwondo to Britain. Now 85. Princess Marianne Bernadotte, Countess of Wisborg (1924) Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't made any public appearances in a year or more. Used to be very active and always looked great for her age. Ian McNeice (1950) I love him in Doc Martin, but he looks very unhealthy.

Updated the Long March list. I'd say there are around 12-15 left who will definitely get a death mention, multiple who could/likely will get one and the yellow names who very likely won't get any kind of mention except maybe a short "they're dead" mention in those yearly or bi-yearly lists in Chinese media, currently I'm waiting for them to release a new list. Zhang Lixiong, Wang Fuzhi, Wang Jingqun and Fan Xixian, maybe Suo Xinzhong are the most notable ones left I doubt any of them will get an English obituary as not even Wan Haifeng got one. Solihin GP last month with another low requirement pool possibility, Major General Eddie Marzuki Nalapraya who was the Vice Governor of Jakarta in the 1980s and is now 91:

Interesting guy in a way reading his Baike page and that Los Angeles Times article from 2008. Trailblazing neurosurgeon, saved thousands of lives and helped cure large amounts of people including 1500 soldiers with scabies during WWII (if not all, almost all of which he ended up outliving), responsible for the treatment of 60000 people in 1948. Teached generations of Chinese neurosurgeons and donated money to flooded towns and poor people. Good guy in lots of ways, except that he was a Maoist until his health started failing...more than a decade ago. He was already bedridden in 2016 according to some articles.

Tomiichi Murayama makes rare public appearance and actually looks great. Not as great as he did over a year ago, but great for 99. I expect he'll outlive Manolic, Cesar YU (if he's still alive - I'd say there's a chance he'll die off-radar), Siphandone & the other 1924 cohort and become the undisputed oldest living state leader. But those three and Carter have proven to be very tough.

Former Catalonia Govt President Jordi Pujol (predecessor of longtime dementia sufferer Pasqual Maragall) suffered a stroke in September at a book presentation and underwent brain surgery, but apparently he has "perfectly recovered". He's now the second-oldest President of a Spanish Autonomous Community, Jeroni Albertí Picornell of Balearic Islands is a bit older at 95.

I remember the Finnish Gladiators "Gladiaattorit", but I was never a big fan of it. Suprisingly only two of those competitors from the original show are dead, the most notable ones - cannibal murderer Virpi Butt and controversial steroidfilled "politician" personality Tony Halme and all the living ones are doing fine as far as I know. The second host narrator Minna Aaltonen is also dead. The original presenter Juha-Pekka Jalo b 1957 suffered a heart attack in 2014 and retired a year or two ago. Jucci Hellström from the 2017 revival has or had cancer and has had some other ailments, but don't know his current condition.

Vaclav Klaus' yearly birthday wish for Kundera, here's the "important" part: Dear and kind Mrs. Vera, tomorrow is the 94th anniversary of the birth of your husband, the great writer and great personality of modern Czech history, Milan Kundera. I know about his state of health, and therefore I know that I cannot write to him and that I should write to you. I know that you have devoted yourself to him for many decades, and we all have to thank you for that on this very day.

Doyle Brunson and Jack Binion (and some Texas furniture guy/gambler Mattress Mack) six days ago: They all looked and sounded quite frail in the 20 minute video posted on facebook, couldn't hear what Brunson was saying.

I congratulate @gcreptile on the victory. My team wasn't great, but there are names to keep an eye on, for example Swami Smaranananda who was hospitalised last year in critical condition and treated by four different specialist doctors and in his most recent appearances he's looked half-dead, wheelchairbound under blankets. Could live a few more months, but I doubt he'll make it to 2024 and his next hospitalisation will be his last one. There are a few names I'll be interested to see if they're picked on the April round. One of these I'm pretty sure won't see May but it's a 50-50 if he'll get a qualifying obituary and two of them will get a qualifying obituary but it's likely they aren't as ill as some sources say they are.

Edgardo Codesal has a health history, heart attack in 2007, was in serious condition after a double heart attack in 2010 and "gravely ill" in 2018.

Queen Silvia of Sweden ill, but apparently nothing serious.

Late Hong Kong Cantopop singer and actress Anita Mui's controversial brother Mui Kai-ming hospitalised after fall, possible stroke and said to be half-paralyzed. He's the last living of the four siblings but their mother Tam Mei Kam is still alive at 99/100 and said to be doing well despite ailments (cancer survivor with sciatica, hospitalised in May 2021 with gastric problems and last year with "undisclosed illness") -
Lots of rumors on Nikolay Drozdov's health in Russian media, but he says he's doing fine. Mexican actress Queta Lavat hospitalised with leg blood clot, but apparently recovering.

According to the most recent post on the Superstar Billy Graham facebook he's now again positive for covid, suffering from covid/post-covid complications including "shortness of breath, severe couching and bronchitis", has lost 65 pounds and most importantly he's refusing his meds due to "depression and confusion" Wrestlinginc article.
