He could very well be next year's no. 50 on the official DL, following Shane MacGowan's inevitable demise. About time Ozzy makes a return.
-
A gut feeling he will be making his debut on the official DL next year, potentially in position 47 or 48. Still think he has roughly 5 years to go though.

5 US Presidents are currently older than the oldest living former First Lady: Carter, Biden, Trump, Bush Jr and Clinton. The Carter's marriage also went for longer than any of the living First Ladies' current lifespans.

Despite approaching 96, Dooley is looking and sounding like a man with another 3-4 years left, if you see his latest Cameo videos (latest one claimed to be from October 16). A wiser replacement for Ackland would be Earl Holliman unless he goes before 2024. Another name I saw mentioned earlier in this thread which I similarly disagree with is William Daniels, also highly active on Cameo, looking and sounding like he has another 2-3 years left. In fact, I would not be very surprised if Dooley and Daniels are future centenarians. They'll certainly both get near 100.

Isn't his cancer in remission?

The 2023 DL is guaranteed to get at least 17 hits. J Carter and MacGowan are guarantees. Many of us also see Jacques Delors as an end of year bonus, and Joanne Woodward, Nigel Starmer-Smith, Ethel Kennedy, Dennis Skinner and Bob Newhart are all seemingly on their last legs, one or two of those are likely to go before 2024 as well. We may well also get a more surprising hit (we've been getting a quite a few surprises this year), like Yoko Ono or Norman Lear. 18-20 hits is thus a most logical result.

Discovering The Old Crem’s first remembered celebrity death as Princess Margaret, made me think of mine. I believe the first celebrity death I heard about was Don Adams (a time when death didn’t interest me). I distinctly remember watching just a snippet of the Get Smart episode “The Decoy” , when he was gassed by the book. It could have been a re-run, but I seem to recall it as part of his news death report. Following deaths I certainly recall consisted of Steve Irwin, Luciana Pavarotti, Michael Jackson, Tony Curtis and John Barry (I know, very odd selection). From then on, I basically took on my interest in deaths and started hearing about them all.

He could very well be an end of year hit. His wife did speak of "terrifying fears of loss"; he cannot have too much longer to go.
