The BBC are reporting that the Wolverhampton roundabout hermit Josef Stawinoga has passed away. While not an eccentric of the same magnitude and fame as Mr Trebus, he surfaced in the media occasionally and was undoubtably famous in his own locality,

He had a place round the corner from my uncles in Spain. Nice bloke, exactly like his screen persona in real life. (My uncle's also with the choir invisible)

It's always nice to see a fellow Kiwi in the English press. Even nicer to see a headline containing the words 'Men', 'held', 'Barrymore' and 'probe'; now there's an 'ooh err missus' line if ever there was one.One of them is the same age as Barrymore as well

I feel dead, I knew that I would now. At least he can get the ten dollars back he lent to Elvis in 1965 now.
Yeah...that's presuming Elvis is really dead of course.
Yep, it'll be a bit of a bummer for James if that turn out to be true

Bastard! I was just about to put him on my DDP list for 2007. He could have at least hung on until Jan 1st. I hope he gets put on the same cloud as all the political opponents he did away with

The indulged little prick was the subject of an Arena documentary last night. Pretty poor show when the best music in the programme was by sodding Radiohead.Looks like he's been indulging himself again

"Doherty arrested by drugs police
Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty has been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of possessing crack cocaine, police said.
The singer was arrested by officers who spotted him driving his Jaguar erratically near his east London home.
Doherty, 27, was with two other people in the car. They were also arrested.
All three were released from Bethnal Green police station pending analysis of "substances recovered", a spokesman said. They must return in December.
Doherty has recently received treatment for drug addiction..
He was fined £750 last month for assaulting Radio 1 Newsbeat reporter Trudi Barber. "

Well that's an entry off my DDP for next year. You'd though he'd hang on. That's another ass I'll be kicking when I get up top.
-
After my miserable performance on the DDP in 2006, he's definately going my next year's list if he lasts that long.

I have no idea if he is famous or not, but it looks like Cory Lidle, a baseballer, has met a spectacular & fiery end.Apparently its true. He's toast, whoever he is.

Top Gear presenter hurt in crash
Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond is in a critical condition in hospital after a crash in a jet-powered car while filming for the programme.
The presenter, 36, was taken by air ambulance to a Leeds hospital which has a special neurological unit.
A North Yorkshire Ambulance Service spokesman said he was unconscious when they got to the scene but was regaining consciousness at the hospital.
A BBC spokesman confirmed the presenter had been injured during a shoot.
Now if he hangs on a couple of months he could be a good bet for 2007

I´m mortified by the lack of famous deaths. I´m on holiday at the moment, (Lanzarote if your´re interested), and my holidays have always featured a famous death. Pope JP 1 and Rudolf Hess be notable examples. I emplore famous celebrities to start dying immediately before I return home next Thursday, otherwise I may suffer irrepairable psychological damage.
(Of course, if a fellow Deathlister would like to go an kill a celebrity, this will help a great deal ).
