I'm not a Christian, so I don't celebrate Christmas. However my parents are Christans, and are buying me a new vacuum cleaner, as the old one is knackered. This may be a house devoid of baby Jesus at this time of year, but at least it'll be a clean one.

Why are the media hyping him up as some kind of National Hero? He has been sponging and soaking off the state for too many years to calculate. The only way he could pay for his habit was by constantly selling drunken stories to the press!I call it "Pete Docherty" syndrome. You can bet your life there's a report on the next page penned by some cold, p****d-off hack who's spent the night dragging the streets desperately looking for some sign of the major civil insurrection they have been confidently predicting would arise as soon as 24-hour drinking arrived.
The BBC are saying he "close to death". Just how much closer can he get for goodness sake? All those people at his bedside must be making the room very hot. Perhaps they should open a window

Latest news....hes donating his organs ...i wonder how much theyll get on ebay for them?I just hope none of my organs fail in the next few days and need replacing. I don't fancy one of Mr Best's cast-offs.

According to the London Evening Standard earlier the death penalty is mandatory for child rape. GG might be worth putting on next years list if he gets charged with that.

Just how many times has George Best been at death's door in the last few years? I think its high time a "three strikes and your're out" rule was introduced for such people.

After the disappointment of no major celebrity deaths while I was on holiday last week, surely a first, this has come as a welcome relief. Its strange, but I suddenly thought of him the other day. I'll let you know if I have any similar thoughts regarding other celebrities.

Yes, but that's a different holiday. Perhaps there ought to be a calender of when members go on holiday so we can look back and see if there is any correlation between vacations and a rise in celebrity deaths.
