    Sir John Mortimer

If he carks it, I should like to volunteer to console his daughter Emily. Lovely. (And amazing.)

  3. I say, I rather like the cut of your jib. Can't disagree with that list at all. I think you can also add: 1981 Talbot Rothwell 1993 Gerald Thomas All a great loss If only because they were in two of the best, can I also add: 1982 Harry H Corbett 1994 Roy Castle Mustn't forget 1981 Eric Rogers...where would the Carry Ons be without music?
  4. 1976 Sid James 1979 Peter Butterworth 1980 Hattie Jacques 1988 Charles Hawtrey/Kenneth Williams 1992 Frankie Howerd 1993 Kenneth Connor/Bernard Bresslaw 1994 Terry Scott 2001 Joan Sims Now they're significant deaths..... And as for 2007, well it has to be either John Inman or Amos off of Emmerdale Farm.

    Ideas and possibilities for 2008

Norman Wisdom has to be in with a shout for 2008 - he was described on Teletext yesterday as "ailing"...

    Ideas and possibilities for 2007

I've just been directed to this site by a friend, and it's great! My sister & I have been playing a version of this for the last 4 years and called it "Wormfood Bingo." Here are a few from our 2006 lists who look set to hang on into 2007 (and will thus be re-nominated)... Ernest "Airwolf" Borgnine (89) Patrick Macnee (84 but looking a bit frail) Dora Bryan (82) Saddam Hussein (a fairly safe bet for 2007...my money's on February...) Alan "Fluff" Freeman (currently in a home for retired entertainers, apparently in the Max Bygraves wing...IT'S TRUE!) Ariel Sharon Pope Benedict the whatever Gary Glitter Lord Dickie "Luvvie" Attenborough (83) plus hardy perennials like Clive Dunn, Norman Wisdom, Baroness Lady Mrs Thatcher and Michael Foot.
