Irate Visitors Rage Here, If You Must.

He’ll be what they call a New Australian then. Just wait till you see the Australian team sheets when they turn up to the World Cup in June. Don’t be surprised if there’s a Malakas or two amongst them.

That's what happens when you have 5 Military Deferments to avoid serving in Vietnam and never learn how to handle a gun. Is Killing by Friendly Fire a national sport in the US?

    Astronauts

I see they've suspended the Space Shuttle programme while they sort out the tile problem... Doesn't really address the immediate issue though, does it?

    Edward Heath

Not specifically, but most right of centre blogs in NZ (kiwiblog.co.nz, nzpundit.co.nz) tend to refer to her marriage in italics for some reason. We've got a General Election in a couple of months now; no doubt the term childless will be used between now and then.

    Edward Heath

He wasn't very ambitious then, was he? If he was clever, he'd have found someone with a low libido and a desire for the trappings of office to "marry". Helen Clark, the NZ PM, used that tactic to great success. Allegedly.

When the obits say that Heath never married, do they mean he never married or that he never married ??

    Michael Foot or Gerald Ford

Although Ford probably doesn't fly much these days, so that may keep him out of trouble.

I assume the bidding will be opened by the Luxembourg Prime Minister? Looks like no-one’s going to want for sparkling glassware at the next garden party at the Grand Duchy. Mir wëlle bleiwe wat mir sin

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

Given all the flip-flopping and semi-deaths relating to him over the last week, should we not give him 24 hours just to make sure?
  22. That's the boy. Think how much more entertaining this forum would be if we had the regular benefit of his wisdom here.
  23. Does the ranting here just prove that fans of Liverpool FC are particularly self-pittying when dealing with death or misfortune?? Has anyone else made this point recently?

    Dead Losses (2004)

Looks like someone else may have keeled over.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/st...1346054,00.html Or is that too obvious a pun? He's too far low in the ground to worry about it now anyway.

    Arafat's (Inevitable) Death

...so do we assume the 72 virgins weren't quite what he was hoping for, so he thought he'd come back and give Earth another go?
